What are your thoughts on the name Jennifer?

We are thinking of Alice as a middle name to go with our short (3 letter, one syllable) surname

I really don’t like it. I find it old fashioned (in a 70s/80s way not a cool way) and pretty dull. See also Jessica, Sarah.

Alice however I love. Beautiful classic

I'm also a Jennifer and usually go by Jen. (Not really Jenny since I've been an adult as it's a bit 'cutesy' & doesn't suit me)

I've always loved my name to be fair if that's of any help at all!!

I am in the no category, just too dated for my liking. And I loathe Jenny. Jen is only slightly better.

But I think Jenna is a nice name.

I like Alice though.

I'm a Jennifer... for the most part I use Jennie except when my mother is in earshot & very few people call me Jen.

I actually really like my name (& it's nicknames) & don't know many my age even though I was born in the 70's - there was one other in high school but she's the only one i can think of.

DD1 had one in her class - they're 17 now & my niece is also Jennifer she's 21.

Nowadays it's a name that isn't unheard of so people won't be surprised by it but it's not that common so you won't have half a dozen in the same class.
