Thoughts on the name Amara?

Current fave for DD is Amara. Her older brother is Jace.
Opinions? I love it as it's fairly unique but not too out there and easy to pronounce. It's feminine but also strong I think.
Also any middle name ideas?

So pleased with the response. We are not of any middle eastern heritage though. Is it ok to use it?

Very few names regarded as English in use today originated in England apart from a few modernised from the original Anglo Saxon Old English such as Aethelflaeda = Ethel etc and Alfred, Most Old English given names which exist in a distorted form are found in place names and the original name is unpronounceable.
“Regular “ given names such as John, Jane, etc are derived from Hebrew names in the Bible or Greek and Roman myths and names. Later names were borrowed from other countries in the British Isles and Europe. Or parents used surnames or virtues as given names.
So objecting to a name because it is not essentially English makes no sense.

The word means ours in some Indo-Aryan languages while the name means shooting star / eternal. In Arabic it means sweetheart or dear.

A beautiful name but if you’re not Indian / Middle Eastern / North African I’d be a bit miffed as to why you’re using it.

I know two asian families with this name it's beautiful, I haven't heard it elsewhere.
