It you could shorten Balthazar to Balonz.

Topseyt · 14/07/2019 19:29

Errrr, no.

Are you going to shorten them to Thaddy and Bally?

Sounds more like something from Greek mythology, but it works there. Not today though.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 14/07/2019 19:28

Is this a joke? Are pp being sarcastic! I'm confused

Nope...im being serious

Love the name balthazar

Dh wasn’t keen and between us we came up with another name...i had 30 names on my list including balthazar and dh had 6

Two of the names were the same and we went for one of those

Celebelly · 14/07/2019 19:28

Do you live in Middle Earth?

Charles11 · 14/07/2019 19:27

I like them.
Thads and Balz for nicknames.

userabcname · 14/07/2019 19:26

Balthazar is a fantastic name! I nearly convinced DH with DS1 (we were going to use Baz for short...!). It is on standby for if we ever get a dog.

pip

Thad or Thaddie perhaps

FloatingthroughSpace · 14/07/2019 19:25

Where I live up North those names would guarantee your boys be a target for bullies, but you probably live somewhere very upmarket....

sirmione16 · 14/07/2019 19:25

Tongue twister! Surely this is a wind up

Pipandmum · 14/07/2019 19:24

You are setting them up. Thaddeus I think is ok (Teddy? Tad?) but Balthazar? No one will know how to pronounce it or spell it and people will think it pretentious.

ProperVexed · 14/07/2019 19:23

Simply divine.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 14/07/2019 19:21

Love it

Was going to call ds2 balthazar

Which would have matched ds1 beautifully Grin
