Baby girl number 3 is here.
She’s 5 days old ♥️ But still no name! 😬 (getting stressed!)
This is our short list. We like classic names but not too trendy ones (like Charlotte or Matilda..- although they are beautiful too!)
So we got:
Anna
Sara (pronounce Sarah)
Elizabeth
Joanna (Jo)
Jessica (Jess/ Jessie)
Which one would you go for?
Thank you so much!!

Anna or Elizabeth

plantbased · 14/07/2019 18:09

I am a Joanna. We are few and far between these days which is nice. I'm mid thirties.
HOWEVER, people who can't be arsed to try and get it right WILL call her Joanne which although only one letter different is a different name altogether and really not nice (in my opinion. But maybe I've been called it one too many times!)

TatianaLarina · 14/07/2019 17:58

Zara.

Your list is just too dull.

DramaAlpaca · 14/07/2019 17:43

Anna, Jessica or Joanna.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 14/07/2019 17:40

We almost went with Jessica for newborn DD but have used it for her middle name instead. Joanna is one of my family members' names and she loves it, there's not a lot of them about.

Hellhath · 14/07/2019 17:30

Emily, Ben and Anna
Perfect

HelenaJustina · 14/07/2019 17:28

Go with Sarah, really underused classic!

Not Elizabeth, nice to have different initials, Jessica is all over the place here, and I’m not a fan of Joanna (knew one who, type thing!)

McShakey · 14/07/2019 17:28

I think Anna goes with Emily and Ben

Peachbubble · 14/07/2019 17:27

Joanna
Quite a few Annas and Elizabeths around atm
Sarah and Jessica are/have been overused imo

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 14/07/2019 17:26

I like Jessica !!

Other suggestions:

Abigail
Hayley
Lucy
Melanie

creamcheeseandlox · 14/07/2019 17:25

What I am saying it is that is makes it harder for us if the spelling with no h becomes the name with An h.

StarJumpsandaHalf · 14/07/2019 17:24

I'd go with Anna.

If you should choose Sarah please spell it that way rather than Sara and expect everyone to pronounce it incorrectly. You must know that Sara rhymes with Zara for a reason.

creamcheeseandlox · 14/07/2019 17:24

Please don't have a sara pronounced as Sarah. As a sara pronounced as 'sara' i have had a lifetime of wrong pronunciations as it is and have to correct people almost daily. I have had Sarah, Zara, Tara 🙄. Almost no one ever says sara initially and it is very frustrating.

OnlyToWin · 14/07/2019 17:16

Emily, Ben and Jessica

Also think Emily, Ben and Alice sounds great too, but obviously not on your list! Smile

Frith2013 · 14/07/2019 17:12

Anna - ok
Sara (pronounce Sarah) - just spell it as Sarah!
Elizabeth - dull
Joanna (Jo) - 1970s
Jessica (Jess/ Jessie) - ok

kittytiggy · 14/07/2019 16:57

Anna is so timeless and classic

Wonderstuff7 · 14/07/2019 16:51

Anna is lovely.

I think Sara spelt like that might get annoying too.

ladyisabelle · 14/07/2019 16:39

I wouldn’t do Elizabeth with Emily as Elizabeth is usually shortened and Emily isn’t.

I like Jessica best from your list but I think Rebecca goes really nicely with the others.

Lostinfog · 14/07/2019 16:32

I'd go Joanna as you could call her Jo or utilise your other name choice, Anna.

I do like Jess/Jessica though

Goldenhorn · 14/07/2019 16:30

Apologies I meant Sara* but my phone autocorrected it

Goldenhorn · 14/07/2019 16:29

My order would be:

  1. Jessica
  2. Anna
  3. Elizabeth
  4. Sarah
  5. Joanna
MerryMarigold · 14/07/2019 16:27

Lucy, Alice, Eve

MerryMarigold · 14/07/2019 16:26

Anna definitely. Love that name.

Also
Tamsin
Claudia
Beatrice
Miriam
Mary

CIT80 · 14/07/2019 16:25

Elizabeth or Anna would be my choice

Heratnumber7 · 14/07/2019 16:23

I love the name Anna.
