What do you think of the name Frank for a baby boy?

We like traditional but not uncommon names.

Alternatives are
Frederick
Louie
Wilfred
Ralph
Luca (not traditional I realise!)

I don't like Frank at all, and Frankie is even worse. Francis is OK, but the problem is it inevitably gets shortened to one of the above.

I wouldn't say Louie is traditional, though Louis is.

I like Luca, but the rest of your list isn't my style.

We’ve got a Francis but I don’t really like Frank.

I love Frank and have one of my own. He's named after my grandad but I also love the name objectively too.

Hate Frankie and correct anyone who tries to call him that.

It's a proper, solid traditional name. Not trendy or tryhard and that's part of the appeal for me.

From your list the only other name I like is Wilf(red).

When I hear Frank I want to add Bruno on the end. Frankie is cute, but then I associate more with a girl.

Louie is nice. But I think of a baby/small child. I find it hard imagining a 6ft 2 rugby player call Louie (but I’m sure there are many!).

As a PP said Quentin (Quinn) is nice. Or Alexander, Benedict, Emmett, Gideon, Horacio, Nathaniel, Oliver, Rupert, Rufus, Rafe, Samual, Tobias, Winston, Wilson, Alister, Hector, Marlon, Jude, Saul, Heath.

I like Frank and Louie.

How about
Quentin
Clement

Id have to call him Frankie- "Frank" is very harsh sounding outright for a baby

I like Frank, including as nickname for Francis. I like Frederick and Wilfred too.
