Fraser

Prefer Israel to Isaac

Grufallosfriends · 13/07/2019 22:51

Fraser and Ezra are lovely

Isaac sounds a little like I suck. It also often gets misspelled eg Issac or Izaac

LillithsFamiliar · 13/07/2019 21:41

I like Ezra. It's more unusual. We have an Isaac and a Fraser in my DC's school.

Thanks everybody, some great suggestions for other names in addition to opinions on Isaac and Fraser. I absolutely love Reuben but DH says no!! I especially like Ezra, Hamish and Evan, I don't think we've considered those so far... will see what DH thinks. It seems Isaac or Fraser would both be fairly safe bets though :)

I have an Isaac so obviously prefer that!

I knew Frasers at school, they tend to be nice, polite, well behaved Scottish boys! So that’s ok too, less popular than Isaac if that bothers you.

I find them quite different names! Like the suggestion of Ezra.

Chocolatecake12 · 12/07/2019 07:41

Isaac by a mile. I’m biased though!!

devilishlygood · 12/07/2019 07:32

Isaac is my darling, adorable (21yo!) cousin, and I’m kind of mad at my favourite aunt for using the name!

I knew two Fraser/Frazers at school and they were both arrogant assholes! 😂

Astronica · 12/07/2019 03:16

Fraser. Good name. I find Isaac over-used these days.

Strokethefurrywall · 12/07/2019 03:09

Fraser

Isaac.

thisisthetime · 11/07/2019 21:03

Fraser

Fizzytonicplease · 11/07/2019 20:59

Fraser! It's my DS name

daisypond · 11/07/2019 20:54

Fraser, hands down. Isaac is already 20 years out of date. Fraser has Scottish timelessness about it.

Fatkins · 11/07/2019 20:47

I prefer Isaac.

Suggestions:

Ezra
Reuben
Caleb
Fergus
Hamish
Hector
Ross
Finlay

MikeUniformMike · 11/07/2019 20:34

Fraser. Love it.

QueenOfThePumpkins · 11/07/2019 06:35

Thanks all :)

We would be totally sorted if we had a girl, but boy names are not coming easily... these seem to be the only two that we both find "ok"! I want to find a boy name we love, but not sure it's out there! Any suggestions based on these two?

Objectively Isaac, but its popularity and the constant misspelling would put me off. So Fraser.

BikeRunSki · 10/07/2019 17:18

Hard call, both great names, but I’d choose Fraser as it’s a bit more unusual.

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 10/07/2019 17:08

Fraser. It's unusual and more timeless. Isaac is nice too but I know 3 little Isaacs.

DramaAlpaca · 10/07/2019 16:27

Fraser by a million miles.

99bb · 10/07/2019 16:12

I like both. Sorry.

Shadow1234 · 10/07/2019 16:04

Fraser by far

Butterfly005 · 10/07/2019 15:34

Isaac
