So after all the Jacob posts nothing felt right..... The names just didnt feel right. And today I was reading about Jacob in the bible and it just put me off in all honestly.
We came across a name and it just feels right. The name is JENSON.
Middle name yet to be decided.
What do you all think?
Girls name is set 100% at Sofia Matilda. Sibling is Noah.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

@heartoftheocean if you like a name the worst thing you can do it post it on MN!! Jenson to me in a posh name but I'm from up north so probably a bit chavvy 😁

Its lovely and different x

I don’t like Jacob, but it’s way better than Jenson. If you want a ‘son’ name:- Grayson, Emerson, Jackson, Leason, Mason, Addison, Benson, Coleson, Davison, Harrison, Nelson, Nielsen, Peterson, Williamson, Brayson, Carlson, Jameson, Michaelson, Carson, Cayson, Christofferson, Dawson, Ericsson, Henson, Henderson, Garettson, Hudson, Jason, Jaimison, Jefferson, Johnson, Madison, Reason, Richardson, Samson, Vinson, Wilson.

My personal favourite:- Farquharson

AverageMummy · 08/07/2019 12:32

Jenson is awful I’m sorry - sounds like Jayden / Mckenzie & co

Namechangedonceagain · 08/07/2019 12:15

Sorry OP. I also think Jenson is a bit chavvy. In my mind Jenson's siblings should be called Lexi-mai and Kaiden, not Noah.

CheerfulPotato · 08/07/2019 08:27

Well you asked so..... love Jacob, don’t like Jenson.

Bezalelle · 08/07/2019 08:25

Jacob is much nicer than Jenson!

When I read "Sofia Matilda", my brain converts it to "mafia" for some reason.

Nuttyaboutnutella · 08/07/2019 07:49

I know a 5 year old Jenson and he's a lovely little boy. While it's not too my taste, I think it's a decent name and sounds good with Noah

lilpumpsmum · 08/07/2019 07:45

I think Noah and Jacob as siblings is a bit too biblical tbf. Unless you are very religious, in which case go for it

MsTSwift · 08/07/2019 07:27

Joseph jo for short is fab and a trillion times better than Jensen

Rachelover40 · 08/07/2019 07:15

Jenson means: Jenson is an English language patronymic surname meaning "son of Jens". The prefix "Jens-" is a German and Danish surname. Jenson is rarely used as a given name. There are alternate spellings, including the Danish variant, also nearly teddy Sutton's nameJensen.

I'm not keen on it, has no substance in my opinion.

What was wrong with Jacob in the Bible? He made a mistake as a young man but he paid for it and became an upright man.

His son Joseph (of the coat of many colours) was good too. I like Joseph as a name.

devilishlygood · 08/07/2019 07:03

Interesting deviation from Noah and Sofia...but your choice. Well done on agreeing, that’s half the battle!! 😊

AgnesNutterWitch · 08/07/2019 06:32

I think it depends how you pronounce it.

MarthasGinYard · 07/07/2019 23:33

It's tastique

Sophronia · 07/07/2019 23:31

Jacob is much nicer than Jenson. I don’t think it matters what the Jacob in the Bible was like.

Jenson is trendy and only became popular because of Jenson Button. I think it will date badly.

username1724 · 07/07/2019 23:26

Absolutely love Jenson!

Enko · 07/07/2019 23:12

Having grown up in Scandinavia Jensen will always be a surname for me and a dull one at that. To me its like calling your child Smith or Jones. (and yes I know they can be first names too but I dont like it) I do not like it for a first name at all. Not massively keen on Jacob either but dont hate it. Girls name is sweet

C0untDucku1a · 07/07/2019 23:04

My dh wanted jenson for a bit. He also wanted kyle. I said not to both.

MsTSwift · 07/07/2019 22:59

Unfairly for some people the name Jensen puts you in a very different bracket to the name Jacob.

BazaarMum · 07/07/2019 22:55

Cassian definitely classier 😂

BazaarMum · 07/07/2019 22:53

Hmmm. I know a Jenson, his parents are lovely but I always wince a bit at his name, it does sound a bit chavvy compared to them (and his more traditionally named siblings).

If you love it, go for it, but be aware it definitely fits in the Jayden/Kayden/Jordan/Kai/Arron category. The kid always kicking seven kinds of crap out of something/someone in the playground 😬

WhereForArtThouBray · 07/07/2019 22:47

I prefer Jacob and think it fits much better with your other names.

Another option could be Jasper. I still prefer Jacob though.

foodiefil · 07/07/2019 22:39

Not for me but each to their own

CassianAndor · 07/07/2019 22:37

Wow, the absolutely snobs are out in force. I hope none of them think they’re any classier than the ‘chavs’ they’re deriding.

Mishappening · 07/07/2019 22:15

Not Jenson please - spare the poor wee lad that.

Mabellavender · 07/07/2019 22:13

It’s make me think you were bang into racing Grin

I prefer Jacob but I like classic names. It’s your baby so choose what you like the most.
