Gia or Piper?

basically just that please, which name do you prefer? (both go well with the middle name) ps this is for my sister who is pregnant with a little girl and has asked me to make this thread due to her not having a Mumsnet account! thank you!

Gia. Piper makes me think of Piper Alpha, which is sad, so I'd not use it.

I actually love Gia, different but very pretty. Not keen on piper at all, it just makes me think of pied.

If Gia is pronounced the way I think it is it almost sounds like “jeer” so I’m not sure I’m keen... that could be my channel island accent though Grin

Piper is ok but I prefer Harper, a name I consider similar Smile

I have a 7yo Gia. Pronounced like Gina without the N. I love it, she gets loads of compliments on it.

Gia sounds like a car model. It's OK if it's short for something like Gianna.

I really dislike Piper.

Piper. I like Gaia as a name, not so keen on Gia, I think you will be constantly telling people how to pronounce it.
