Yet again another thread, sorry!
So, with the help of mumsnet, we've finally decided on the name Cassia (Cassie) for our baby girl. It has clicked!

But we need a unique flowy middle name. The following names are not permitted (so basic!)

  • Rose
  • Grace
  • Louise
  • Jane
  • Hope
  • Faith
  • Mae
  • Claire
DD1 is Ivy Sage DS2 is Tommy Jax DS3 is Brodie Grayson

DH has come up with Cassia Fleur but I am not a fan - sounds to much like 'bleurgh'
I am considering:
Cassia Ariel - too much of a mouthful? I think I prefer 1 syllable names with Cassia?
Cassia Jade - fits well I think but is it too similar to Ivy Sage?
Cassia Paige - again rhymes with Sage?
Cassia Sky
Cassia Wren (pronounce "ren")
My sister has suggested Cassia Iris but whilst I don't hate it it seems like an old lady's name.

Give me your thoughts, any other suggestions are welcome of course!

The only suitable middle name I can think of is Pia.

How are you pronouncing Cassia? Like CASH-uh, or cas-SEE-uh?

Cas-SEE-uh Loren?
CASH-uh Noelle?

Moondancer73 · 04/07/2019 21:08

Wren is beautiful

DuchessSybilVimes · 04/07/2019 20:19

Cassia Wren is cool.

Both my DD have middle names because it sounds nice, it feels a bit wrong to only give them one!

AhhhHereItGoes · 04/07/2019 20:14

Cassia Ivy
Cassia Willow
Cassia jasmine

Owlbert · 04/07/2019 19:44

Cassia Sky is stunning ☺️

elliandher5 · 04/07/2019 18:31

@Notanargosfan

In my family we don't really use meaningful middle names Blush
I don't think there is much point, it's just nice to have a second name that compliments imo.

My vote is Cassia Wren too although I quite like the idea that your two daughters would have shades of green as middle names if you went with Jade. It gives a theme without being too matchy matchy

elliandher5 · 04/07/2019 18:28

@Owlbert

I think I have decided on Cassia Wren to be honest! Seems like we both have great taste in names Wink

Oh so you're planning on using both names as a Christian name rather than a separate Christian and middle name.

My ds has a long Christian name and two middle names, but we only ever call him by first name so it's irrelevant really.

Notanargosfan · 04/07/2019 16:56

*goady not today!

Notanargosfan · 04/07/2019 16:55

Why do you need a middle name? Geniounly curious not today as I always thought middle names were to commemorate loved ones or have some family meaning. Absolutely beautiful name though.

Owlbert · 04/07/2019 16:48

I think we have similar tastes in names! My eldest as I mentioned on your other thread is Cassia and my youngest's middle name is Wren! Love the combo together!
