Cassia is lovely (could be pr. Cash-a though I wouldn't. Do you like cinnamon?)

Sadie is... hmm, sad, sadistic, rather harsh.

CarolDanvers · 05/07/2019 22:16

Not Cassie. One of the most unpleasant people I know has that name.

KatherineJaneway · 05/07/2019 22:11

Cassie. Sadie is what you'd call a cow.

NoSauce · 05/07/2019 22:09

Cass-ee-a

Boinky · 05/07/2019 22:09

I think so. Although in the 1800s English people pronounced Maria as Mariah so you can just pretend your version of Cassia is the Georgian pronunciation. Wink

AmericanLemonade · 05/07/2019 22:06

Have I been pronouncing my name wrong for nearly thirty years? Blush

Quesara · 05/07/2019 13:04

I have a Cassia too, pronounced CA-see-a. No one seems to have issues with the pronunciation.

I've seen the two names combined to make Cassadee/Cassadie before.

Sinn · 05/07/2019 11:24

I've never heard it pronounced cass eye a before, only cass ee a

I know a Cassiopeia nn cass which is nice

grufallosfriends · 05/07/2019 08:15

Sadie sounds sad.

Butterfly005 · 05/07/2019 08:10

Sadie

Owlbert · 05/07/2019 08:04

@AmericanLemonade I've never heard it pronounced like that but I like it!

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 05/07/2019 07:34

Sadie! I’ve got one and we’ve had lots of compliments on the name. She’s the only one in her school!

vampirethriller · 05/07/2019 07:26

Cassie

MondeoFan · 04/07/2019 22:44

Sadie
Carrie
Claudia

Dislike Cassie

AmericanLemonade · 04/07/2019 22:40

Owlbert that is how most people tell me mine should be, I’ve also heard casha too. Mine is cass-eye-ah.

Tavannach · 04/07/2019 22:14

Sadie

Goldenhorn · 04/07/2019 22:11

I like both but would personally choose sadie x

Owlbert · 04/07/2019 22:10

@AmericanLemonade we pronounce it Cass-ee-a and put the emphasis on the 'Ca' (Cah rather than Car sound-hope that makes sense!). So basically Cassie but pronoince the a on the end. On holiday in other parts of Europe people sometimes put the emphasis on the 'ee'. When I was researching the name I found that you could also pronounce it Casha but no one has ever tried to pronounce it like that so far! How do you pronounce yours?

Fibbke · 04/07/2019 20:13

NEITHER

AmericanLemonade · 04/07/2019 20:11

Owlbert finally a name twin! How do you pronounce your Cassia? Everyone tells me mines wrong Blush

Quintella · 04/07/2019 10:41

Cassie is lovely. Cassia is fine I suppose. A bit sloaney for my liking.

Sadie is okay but not great.

teenmum18 · 04/07/2019 10:40

Love both of them, but if I had to choose...I'd go for Sadie.

NoSauce · 04/07/2019 10:38

I prefer Cassia to Cassie, dislike Sadie.

Owlbert · 04/07/2019 10:36

@AmericanLemonade great name! We have only met 1 more in a swimming pool at the other end of the England (and heard through friends of 2 others 1 adult and 1 younger child). I was confused at first as I though someone was randomly shouting for my daughter!

Owlbert · 04/07/2019 10:33

I have a Cassia, she loves her name and really suits it. We have had so many compliments on the name! She doesn't get called Cassie and if people call her that she always corrects them as she loves her full name!
