DESPERATE NEED OF GIRL NAMES

Help in need of two baby girl names...

After struggling with infertility my husband and I decided to adopt. Which is where we got our beautiful little girl, Averie Estelle. We are currently 32 weeks pregnant with our baby girl Norah Elizabeth. We where recently informed Averie’s birth mother was expecting twin girls around the same time as us, and she wanted us to adopt them. Of course we said yes, but with only a few weeks notice we are struggling to find names. Are doctors are arranging for us to deliver (c-section) on the same day, beginning of August.

  • names that are unique
    • Common names with unique spelling
    • uncommon names

Good luck OP, you're going to need a lot of support.

colourlessgreenidea · 03/07/2019 13:54

and the fact that this has happened with a pair of biological twins as well makes this a very rare scenario

Maybe even a completely unique scenario Shock

No name suggestions, but just wanted to mention that families who are in this unusual situation are in a unique position to make valuable contributions to research on childrearing and personality development.

Children who are unrelated but raised at the same timely the same families (usually due to adoption and surprise pregnancy) are called "virtual twins" or "artificial twins", and tracing their journeys as they grow up can provide some fascinating insights into the whole nature/nurture debate--and the fact that this has happened with a pair of biological twins as well makes this a very rare scenario.

If the OP is interested in the possibility of contributing to some valuable research that might be very useful to doctors and parents, I'd urge her to get in touch with Nancy Segal, who is the world's foremost authority on twin research and twin studies.

@AverageMummy oh cool, thanks for clarifying. Good luck op

These are all really rare:
Dulcie

Theodora
Juliet

I also like the idea of all girls having middle names beginning with E.

Will the new baby not have been legally named & registered before going through the legal process though?

AverageMummy · 03/07/2019 03:07

@diddlediddle completely normal to aim to keep siblings together so adoptive parents of earlier children are regularly the first approached. My friend adopted a 9 month old after a 5 year process then just months later became pregnant. She was still
asked if she was willing to take the next baby as birth Mum was 5 months pregnant. It’s not the same process when placing babies with extended family.

Wow! Good luck and lots of love to you and your babies!
Averie Estelle, Norah Elizabeth, Carissa Echo and Thalia Emily?

diddlediddle · 02/07/2019 22:37

Are you in the U.K.? Usually they won't allow you adopt at the same time as you are pregnant 🤔 but good luck!

Prettylittlelady · 02/07/2019 22:32
