Coby OR Archie?

Middle names Thomas Arthur (family names)

How popular is Archie after MM named her son it? 🤔

I like Coby! I wouldn't want a name as popular as Archie.

mrvsmrs · 30/06/2019 19:47

@Disfordarkchocolate no why?

Is this a joke thread?

mrvsmrs · 30/06/2019 19:46

@Upfeet I think were I live must be a sh.t hole because everyone iv asked likes Coby! But then again some of the boys names iv heard here I think have been made up because I cant find them in a baby book 😂

I like Coby.

Lavenderblues · 30/06/2019 19:43

Neither! I really don't like Archie! Coby is a little better but not great.

Upfeet · 30/06/2019 19:37

Archie
Coby sounds American and 'not a proper' name to me.
Having said that every child I've ever met with a name that sounds odd to me initially has owned their name and made it sound right very quickly. I think you should go with whichever name you prefer. Stuff everybody else's thoughts. They'll soon get used to whichever name you choose.

mrvsmrs · 30/06/2019 19:30

@Divgirl2 ah might just call him boy 😂 doubt anyone will have that as a name 🤦🏻‍♀️

Divgirl2 · 30/06/2019 19:29

@mrvsmrs 2017 Archie was the 18th most common, Arthur was 19th. 2018 Archie was 11th and Arthur was 14th.

Archie was always more common, and now I imagine even more so.

mrvsmrs · 30/06/2019 19:23

@Divgirl2 Arthur is over used and I am not keen on Thomas for a first name x

@TFSRM I do like Archie! It goes well with our surname I am just worried about how popular it is going to be after the royal baby! I remember George being used a lot after Kate's first son.

TatianaLarina · 30/06/2019 19:21

Neither

Divgirl2 · 30/06/2019 19:20

Is there a third option?

If I had to choose I'd go with Coby. Archie is awful, and it was incredibly common before MM named her baby. I don't like Coby though, unless it's Jacob with Coby as a nn.

Your middle names are great - both brilliant strong names. Why are they being relegated to second place?

TFSRM · 30/06/2019 19:16

Archie is a much nicer name
