Which do you prefer? India would probably be shortened to Indie.

India as a given name has been forever tarnished by Katie Hopkins denying that India, the country, existed.

Have you travelled in India and/or was she conceived there?
If not it's far too try-hard. And if so it's too obvious.
There's no good reason to call a child after a country, otherwise lots of DC would be called Spain or France.

Maria is OK, especially if you have Catholic/Spanish/Italian heritage.

India. I just love it so much and with the nickname Indie. It’s what I plan on calling my imaginary second daughter (not having any more babies!)
