it might be one of only two names in the entire universe of male names DH and i agree on. Other is Finley but that has its own issues

thoughts?

Oh crikey, seems like if it's a Quinn, we need a matching boy twin name!!!!

I like Quinn Leopold, brain jump from Quin Leonard suggestion

Love it!

Mummabear12345567889 · 27/06/2019 15:29

My DS has a surname as his first name but it's a really old name and I find that there are a few old men with it for their first name.

CharlotteFlax · 27/06/2019 15:04

Quinn is a great name! To those saying they are quim, shame on you!

OP, quim is another word for female genitals but used smuttily which is probably why you've not heard it. His mates would only know the word long after they've got used to his name actually being QuiNN.

crazygirluk · 27/06/2019 14:27

I've got a 17 month old Quinn and I think it's great.

Sparklysunflower · 27/06/2019 14:24

I'm biased but I love Quinn Smile!

Sunflowers12 · 27/06/2019 14:16

I really like Quinn. Strong, cool and Q is a cool initial.

A Finn is a person from Finland imo.

Fullmoons · 27/06/2019 14:12

Quinn is a great name! I know a 12 year old Quinn who's very cool and popular.

How about
Quinn Alexander
Quinn Leonard

SleepingStandingUp · 27/06/2019 11:11

Yeah I'm not keen on Quentin.
Not sure what mide name would go though. DS has a 3 syllable first name, short middle and two syllable surname. So feel like Quinn needs a longer middle name. Also worry over lack of nn

I LOVE it! I wanted it but it doesn’t sound great with our surname. Thought about Quentin with Quinn for short but DH wasn’t keen.

SleepingStandingUp · 27/06/2019 10:07

I hadn't considered it to be a surname tbf.

Lilac3 · 27/06/2019 09:58

I don't like it at all, sorry.

But then I just don't like surnames as first names.

I've heard it among American friends. & family , it's a popular thing to do there. Quinn, Bailey, Casey, etc.

SleepingStandingUp · 27/06/2019 09:53

OK lots more love than expected. I think our agreed boys list is Quinn, Finley and at a push Atticus. We're working class in the Midlands so sure someone will accuse us of being try hard.

What is quim?

Wittsendargh · 27/06/2019 08:04

I know a little boy called Quinn who is 6. He's the only one I know with the name, and I think it's cool. We're in the north of the UK.

AuntieStella · 27/06/2019 08:02

I'm another who tends to see 'Quim' so I'd probably use it as a nn for Quentin

But agree that aside for that it's a mighty name for a boy

MarthasGinYard · 27/06/2019 07:57

Quim

Belmo · 27/06/2019 07:57

I like it for a boy, really don’t like it for a girl.

mondler · 27/06/2019 07:52

I like it although it makes me think of sliders.

ForeverFaithless · 26/06/2019 23:52

Quinn and Finlay are very common surnames here, so I find them a bit bizarre as a first name.

But, they actually sound 'nice'. Which is even more bizarre!!

DramaAlpaca · 26/06/2019 23:51

Perfectly normal surname odd first name. JMO

Totally agree.

Bluerussian · 26/06/2019 23:47

I like Quinn, it's a mighty name.
Also the name of the sailor/captain who was eaten by Jaws. So, one could say it is a tasty name.

Fairenuff · 26/06/2019 23:34

I think he could get called quim, so it's a no from me.

LoeweHammockBuyItDoIt · 26/06/2019 23:32

MollyHuaCha · 26/06/2019 23:29

No from me I'm afraid.
