DS due in october will be my 3rd. I really like short names.

not in any particular order..
Max
Kai ( kinda popular)
Leo (lots of Leo's atm)
Ian

My colleague's son is called Ian and I used to think Ian was her husband. It is an unusual choice for a baby but nothing wrong with that.

Max is nice but would you be concerned about how many there are??
Ian sounds like you're having a 40 year old.
Kai is a bit naff.

For short names, Adam? Ted as short for Edward?

Ian reminds me of Ian Hislop.
Kai sounds made up.
Max is bearable.
Would choose Leo out of those options.
