Anyone got any suggestions on the name Harlon for a boy? Due end of next month and want something soft but still boyish. Also, thinking of matching it with Leo, so it would be Harlon Leo

Leo's just lovely

Happinessbegins · 21/06/2019 19:51

I find with unusual names like that I forget them easily and then avoid saying them at all.

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 21/06/2019 19:47

Reminds me of harlot- sorry. It’s not a nice name at all

RiverRiot · 21/06/2019 12:04

Crikey, some of these comments! I actually like it.
I know a little boy called Harlen and he is a super-cool dude.

Also, I didn’t make ‘hard on’ connection but perhaps that’s because in my mind I’m pronouncing it with the
‘en’ ending rather than like Marlon from Emmerdale. (Though, I’ve actually now just tried pronouncing it with the ‘on’ ending a few times in my head and it still doesn’t bother me or make me think of erect penises. Hmm).

If you like it OP ignore that haters.

It looks odd to me. Harlan is better, and Harley is much better but you can’t have that with Leo.

Millypolly90 · 19/06/2019 11:23

Sorry but it’s really really horrid

Astronica · 19/06/2019 11:04

I don't like it. Love Leo though.

Owlbert · 19/06/2019 10:27

Harlan is much better, agree with the others about Harlon.

MikeUniformMike · 18/06/2019 10:04

Don't like it sorry.

LikeDolphinsCanSwin · 18/06/2019 03:51

Way too close to hard-on. Don't inflict that on him (in the unlikely event that this actually a real suggestion). Leo is good.

Gingerkittykat · 18/06/2019 02:55

Too close to harlot.

Leo is lovely though.

Kokeshi123 · 18/06/2019 02:22

Makes me thing "harlot" and "hard-on." Not great.

Whoops75 · 17/06/2019 23:44

Not a fan at all

Harlan is much better

JaneGlorianaVillanueva · 17/06/2019 23:42

I like it spelt Harlan.

Harlan Coben is my favourite author x

RockinHippy · 17/06/2019 23:38

& is an actual name.

RockinHippy · 17/06/2019 23:38

I know an adult Harland, which sounds better to me

Sophronia · 17/06/2019 23:29

I prefer it spelled Harlan.

Tillygetsit · 17/06/2019 22:50

I agree with previous pp. He'll be called Hardon.

RoseMartha · 17/06/2019 22:11

Not for me. First thing that came to my mind was harlot.

Chrle98 · 17/06/2019 22:09

Nope

Felyne · 17/06/2019 21:39

I think it sounds like a brand of contraceptive.

justbeniceplease · 17/06/2019 21:36

I like it.

AverageMummy · 17/06/2019 21:33

I’ve never heard of it but I love the name Leo

BloomsButtons · 17/06/2019 20:43

I know a Harland which is nice.

Harlon will lead to 'hard on' in future I fear.
