I can't see the appeal of Ottilie - just sounds like otter and utterly to me.

I love it! I know one, and I'd never heard it before.

Then I became a mumsnetter and it seems to be everywhere on here! I do find though that people say they love it but dont actually use it, and in 2017 it was #226 so cant be that popular in real life!

I really dislike it. It’s ugly and clunky and people won’t know how to pronounce it. It’s having a moment now, so it’ll date as well.

Tilly would work but there are many many Tilly’s if you are inclined to the less common.

I know a baby Ottie. I don't love it though it's growing on me because I know one but I wouldn't choose it.

I personally don't like it, but there's nothing objectively wrong with it. Might be a mouthful with some surnames, so worth checking that.
