Our choices are Clara and Odette. Also love Giselle but worried about the potential nick name Hmm Her older sister is called Ophelia. Thoughts? I love balletic/ French inspired names if anyone has any other ideas.

I have an Ophelia. Her sister is Bethany.

mimosa1 · 16/06/2022 22:00

What about Arlette? It's similar to Odette, just as pretty in my opinion. It's an older french name meaning noble and honourable.

Luredbyapomegranate · 16/06/2022 21:57

Vivienne is lovely - and a great combination with Ophelia

Clara is nice but a bit pedestrian compared to Ophelia
Odette does make me think odour and Giselle.. as you say

Allegra
Sylvia
Juliet
Galina
Aurora
Alicia
Ondine
Cecilia - patron st of music
Isadora - not ballet but she was amazing
Marianne - no dance or music associations but if you like French ballet it’s a great symbol of French femininity

Juliet also an obvious one. Ballet and Shakespeare all in one!

Hadtocomment · 14/06/2022 23:24

Margot or Sylvie are obvious ones. Natalia or Lydia other names of well known ballerinas. Anna?

Notoironing · 14/06/2022 23:07

Fascinating, I know only one Ophelia and her sister’s name has been suggested twice on here

WeasilyPleased · 14/06/2022 22:35

Coppelia.
