It’s OK but I am not keen. Isaac might be one of the Patriarchs but the biblical story of Isaac is very offputting. I also think that Old Testament names for boys are going out of fashion and it’ll date.

NoNoNoOohmaybe · 09/06/2019 09:01

I also have an Isaac - Ike - ikey! Waves to Elizabeth!

petrasolano · 09/06/2019 08:51

I have one with the nickname ziggy. Such a happy calm name for my happy laidback boy.

But yes it gets spelt Issac, Isaac, and even once issaacc.

MrsElizabethShelby · 09/06/2019 08:10

I have one too! Spelled Isaac and we use the shortening Ike (but we mostly call him Ikey)

browneyesblue · 09/06/2019 08:01

I have one - he laughs a lot!

SallyWD · 09/06/2019 07:59

I really love it!

rammakeen · 09/06/2019 07:57

I'll be spelling it Isaac :)

Love! I have one!

ThanksItHasPockets · 09/06/2019 07:13

It’s a really lovely name but people will misspell it all the time and that would drive me mad. Issac isn’t a valid spelling variation, it’s a mistake. I met an Issaac recently.

bridgetreilly · 09/06/2019 00:41

Issac is a misspelling, please don't use that.

I love it. I like the sound of it, and I love the meaning: he laughs.

DramaAlpaca · 09/06/2019 00:14

What do I dislike about it? The sound of it, the look of it, it's a biblical name & I'm not religious, the constant misspellings - it really can't be spelled Issac... It's just, to me, not a nice name.

Anyway, it's not about what I or other MNers think, it's what you like that's important.

Penny4Thoughts · 08/06/2019 23:24

I don’t like it but it’s a perfectly normal / good name - just not to my taste

babysharkah · 08/06/2019 23:14

Love it. Have never thought I suck!

Justkeeprollingalong · 08/06/2019 23:12

Excellent name. Can't go wrong with biblical names.

rammakeen · 08/06/2019 23:09

Really @sunnyshines - I would never have put those two together!

sunnyshines · 08/06/2019 23:08

It sounds a little too similar to I suck.

Tillygetsit · 08/06/2019 23:03

Fab

Jamhandprints · 08/06/2019 22:58

I have one and love it. But it often gets spelled wrong.

99bb · 08/06/2019 22:56

There is also an Eye-zuch vs eye-zakk difference

Really like it though

rammakeen · 08/06/2019 22:23

To be fair, you can spell it Issac.

glastogal · 08/06/2019 22:22

Love it. It's not true about spelling confusion though. I'm shocked by the number of people who constantly spell it Issac Angry

Redpostbox · 08/06/2019 22:22

Love.

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 08/06/2019 22:20

Love it. I have one.

iVampire · 08/06/2019 22:18

Maybe her surname is Cox....

rammakeen · 08/06/2019 22:17

@DramaAlpaca what do you hate about it? Out of curiosity.
