Hello!

Whats your Vote for Maisy or Maizy?

Also, would you spell with a 'y' or 'ie'?

DH likes Maisy, I like Maizie. Are either very popular? Smile

Nope, Maisie is pronounced Mayzee. Otherwise you have Macy which is another thing altogether.

wonderpants · 08/06/2019 13:16

Maisie- May-Zee
Macy- May- Cee

freshstartnewme · 08/06/2019 13:16

MaySee ?

No.

Shadow1234 · 08/06/2019 13:16

I prefer Maisy with a 'y' - although I believe 'Maisie' seems to be the general spelling these days.
Do not like it with a 'z'

Constance1234 · 08/06/2019 13:14

Why would you want to spell a perfectly nice normal name in such a bizarre way? The poor girl will
go through life constantly having to explain that no, it’s not a typo, her parents just wanted to be ‘different’

allofthechocolateraisins · 08/06/2019 13:14

Ok great - Thanks Everyone! Looks like I'm outvoted but definitely for the best I guess! And the pronunciation for Maisie is May-See instead of May-Zee, right?

Maisie. Or at a push Maisy. Most definitely not with a z...

freshstartnewme · 08/06/2019 13:12

Not with a Z.

There is a hotel chain called 'SleeperZ' I always think the name was made up by a couple of 13 year olds.

It's not cool to use a Z: not cool.

homemadegin · 08/06/2019 13:12

Maisie

MustardScreams · 08/06/2019 13:12

Naming wtf autocorrect?

MustardScreams · 08/06/2019 13:12

Maisie.

Maizy is basically manic your kid after corn.

DoLittleDoLoads · 08/06/2019 13:11

Agree - Maisie. Otherwise she'll spend her life correcting other people's spelling of her name.

MoreSlidingDoors · 08/06/2019 13:11

Maizy looks like an adjective to me. “This pudding is way too maize-y.”

NannyR · 08/06/2019 13:07

I like Maisie best. Maisy reminds me of the maisy mouse books and maizy looks too much like maize, the crop. I think spelling it with a z will be setting her up for a life of misspellings.

hmsvictory · 08/06/2019 13:04

It's Maisie. Maizy is beyond weird

MoreSlidingDoors · 08/06/2019 13:03

Maisie.

livin · 08/06/2019 13:02

Maisie, no z and no y.

Popular around here but not terribly so.
