Expecting a boy soon, our shortlist is Luca, Leo or Harry.

Which would you choose or can anyone offer some alternatives?

Leo. Leo is awesome. (as a nickname or as a full name.)

Luca is ok. Henry is ok but imo a bit boring.

I know people with each name. All timeless. Or if you like Luca you could go with the Greek pronunciation which is Luka/Lukas. I love all the names so no help!

whitehalleve · 09/06/2019 08:00

Luca by a long way

Astronica · 09/06/2019 07:51

Luca is a lovely name. Good for all ages

I have a Luca and was a bit worried about the non Italian heritage thing but I'm so glad we did it anyway. I still love it and get lots of compliments on the name.

I don't think it's naff at all!

Leo

Looks like it’s mainly down to Leo or Luca. Shame I like Leo and DH likes Luca - the discussions will continue!

@llangennith yes Harry is quite popular locally, Leo not so much. (I’m a teacher so hear lots of names). Not too worried by popularity.

Leo, Harry, Luca.
Luca is odd unless you’re Italian. It’ll date badly. Lucas or Luke or Lucian are loads better.

DerelictWreck · 08/06/2019 16:57

I think of Luca as a girls name? I only know female Lucas!

MikeUniformMike · 08/06/2019 13:30

Leo, Harry, Luca.
Luca is a bit naff.
