I know 2 Georginas and they are both in their 20s both are nasty trouble makers in fact they could be twins

Pinkvoid · 02/06/2019 11:14

Horrible but I think my opinion is swayed by the fact every single one I’ve ever met has been an absolute bitch.

foxtiger · 01/06/2019 21:19

I associate it with very upper-class people for some reason. Georgette is my favourite female version of George.

Sophronia · 01/06/2019 19:17

Lovely and much nicer than Georgia.

HappyDinosaur · 01/06/2019 17:39

Love it.

cheesenpickles · 01/06/2019 17:22

My mum was a Georgina (Georgie) and it's my own middle name. I think it's beautiful and very underrated.

Penguin34 · 01/06/2019 17:20

Lots of people call me G though which I don't mind but I get Geeeen a lot which isn't my name so I hate it! Gina G was popular when I was at school so it was pretty annoying for me and just as many people say it now!
I'm not a Georgina though so not shortening to George.

Strange feeling to have strangers slate your name on the internet haha

Penguin34 · 01/06/2019 17:18

@elephantmarch why do you think I brought the Gina G thing up 😂

elephantmarch · 01/06/2019 15:12

Ooo @queenbumble that might be even nicer. @littlepenguin we’re happy with most of the shortened versions like Georgie and George. Not a huge fan of Gina because it reminds me of Gina G (I’m showing my age) and that “ooo ahh just a little bit” song is a terrible ear worm

I really dislike it because I know an awful Georgina Confused however as most posters have said it will likely get shortened !

pillowwillow · 01/06/2019 14:06

Sounds a bit dated to me- all the Georginas I know are 50+

OhhMyLittleGirls · 01/06/2019 14:04

for some reason I really don't like it (maybe its the Gina part), although I think Georgia is lovely x

QueenBumble · 01/06/2019 13:53

I don’t think I quite love it enough to use, but it’s a lovely, classy name. I also love Georgiana (Jane Austen) but it’s very rarely used in comparison so would no doubt cause spelling confusion. Lovely though.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 01/06/2019 13:48

Love Georgina

GinasGirl · 01/06/2019 11:59

I love it 😊

Rystall · 01/06/2019 08:19

It’s lovely but I prefer Georgia.

Penguin34 · 01/06/2019 08:15

Lovely name. Luckily she won't have been born in the 80s so people won't sing ooo ahhh just a little bit at her. For years. And years. And years

taylorlynn · 01/06/2019 08:02

I prefer Georgia x

IHeartArya · 01/06/2019 00:01

Love it. I know 5/6 - mix of full name, Gina & Jeanie.

Astronica · 31/05/2019 23:53

I really like it. And love that it's known but not over-used.

helpmum2003 · 31/05/2019 23:01

Love it

NameChangedNoImagination · 31/05/2019 23:00

I really dislike it tbh.

elephantmarch · 31/05/2019 22:58

Hahaha26 I went to an all girls school and have ruled out about 19 names on a similar basis ;)

@beckyannleaman it’s the pudding and pie thing that does it.

My dh has just watched a film that has inspired him to seriously consider a virtue name like “chastity” or “precocious “ but far more absurd than that So I need to speak up quickly before we have a little baby decorous entering the world!

A real mean girl at primary who picked on me was called Georgina, so I could therefore never consider it as a name for my dd..... however I do really love it! Confused

QueenJulian · 31/05/2019 21:40

Lovely name!
