Opinions on this name?
Would you imagine a boy or girl?

Beg you pardon, it was actually the grumpy owl!

bodgeitandscarper · 02/06/2019 08:34

Showing my age, but I just think of the bearded gardener from this m.youtube.com/watch?v=q0smlX2l9Fk

madeyemoodysmum · 02/06/2019 08:14

Paige?

Sage is a bit weird sorry

Penny4Thoughts · 02/06/2019 08:13

It’s making me hungry

maggienolia · 02/06/2019 06:38

Accounting package or a rather fat feathery owl.
Can't warm to it, sorry.

Thallo · 02/06/2019 00:52

I quite like it. Better than Basil or Rosemary. Feel sorry for any poor sod called Basil.

mothertobe789 · 02/06/2019 00:50

I know of one, she's a girl :)

Teddybear45 · 01/06/2019 09:55

If you want a herby name then Rosemary, Bay, Basil, Saffron are better.

VoteJadot · 01/06/2019 09:51

It would not work well on French exchanges...

INeedAFlerken · 01/06/2019 09:35

I think of it as a girl's name, but there are also boys with the name.

It's an 'herb' name but it also means 'wise' person, which is probably why parents are using it for both genders...

Comes down to if you like the name enough to know that both boys and girls get called it...

Watersnail · 01/06/2019 09:22

I quite like it for a boy.

alaskabaked · 01/06/2019 00:15

Reminds me of accountancy, not to mention how many companies use it for their payroll. And stuffing, mmmm stuffing

DramaAlpaca · 31/05/2019 23:53

Hate it, sorry.

WeeWeed · 31/05/2019 23:48

I love it! I would think Girl.

kenandbarbie · 31/05/2019 22:12

Boy or girl.

But it makes me think ' n onion'.

Vulgarlady · 31/05/2019 22:02

What if he/she was a thick as mince?

CassianAndor · 31/05/2019 21:56

Stuffing
Payroll
Academic publisher

Boy or girl, bit rubbish either way.

Proseccofuelled · 31/05/2019 21:54

It reminds me of stuffing

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 31/05/2019 15:32

I think of accountancy

Vendeedreamer · 31/05/2019 14:30

Totally outing but my surnames Sage... and I have a cat named Basil Sage 😀

userabcname · 31/05/2019 14:30

I immediately thought girl but it would work just as well for a boy. I like it.

Peachbubble · 31/05/2019 14:27

There are nicer names

ErrantTesselation · 31/05/2019 13:55

I think it could work for either sex, but I'd feel a bit silly calling it across a playground tbh.

PandaG · 31/05/2019 13:51

I know one, a girl, so think of it as a girl's name.

continuallychargingmyphone · 31/05/2019 13:48

I know a Sage - male. I call him parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. He just rolls his eyes at me Grin
