Is Sienna going to date?

We love the name Sienna but worried it will date? Should we be worried it's too popular as well? Or just not care?

Our/my Wink shortlist of names so far;
Sienna
Anastasia
Liberty (my husband doesn't like it)
India
Lucia

Please help! Any other suggestions would be great.

It's a beautiful name. Who cares if it does 'date'? Surely it won't sound any less lovely.

But then, I just don't understand the whole 'dating' thing. I went to school with Gemmas and Louises but that doesn't mean that now, when I see them, I think "god, what 80s names!". I might think that if someone called a baby that nowadays but surely most names are a product of their generation unless you choose classic ones like Elizabeth, Victoria, etc.

I don’t think it will date. Think Sienna Miller.
Another suggestion is Serena

Temporaryanonymity · 28/05/2019 22:18

I think it is already dated, sorry.

ConstanzaAndSalieri · 28/05/2019 22:17

I know of three Siennas under one... until then I’d hardly come across it. Purely anecdotal but for me it will date.

Whynotnowbaby · 28/05/2019 22:15

Yes I think it will, I do love it though and Siena Miller has been around for a while so maybe I’m wrong ...

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion of Saskia.... Smile

Hmm, I think it might.
Another suggestion is Saskia which seems to have been around for ages but hasn't got very popular - a floater name.

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 28/05/2019 22:05

It’s a pretty name

Sienna is absolutely gorgeous. I know a 17 year old sienna and it doesn't seem to have dated x
