Lincoln...yes or no

What do you think of the name Lincoln? I love it but family and friends are not keen. Would like to know what other people think of the name.

My cat is named Lincoln (after Prison Break - other one was going to be Schofield but as we were collecting them we were told they’d made a mistake and she was actually a girl!)

His name is shortened to Link (DS is a big Legend of Zelda fan) which I think is pretty cool for a boy, feline or human!

Lincoln is also a lovely place, so I’d be happy with the connotations, other than PB Grin

My DS used to know a Lincoln. Rude and nasty, but I don't mind the name.

I know a 10 year old Lincoln. I like it. He's always Lincoln, it's easy to say.

Reminds me of Teen Mom, I’m sure I wasn’t reading on line and a story popped up about one of the mums and that was her son’s name.

I thought Prison Break, too - Linc the sink.

But by the time your ds starts school, I rather think PB will be an unimportant footnote in tv history. And I actually quite like the sound of Lincoln.

I like it. I'm not normally that keen on surnamey first names, but I like Lincoln.

It reminds me of Prison Break too.

I'm not a big fan...sorry OP. it makes me think of Abraham Lincon and it sounds like a surname to me x
