Could I call a baby Brie, or is it too American and/or too cheesy? 🤔

And then if you later had a boy you could call him Edam.

NewSchoolNewName · 16/05/2019 23:09

Too cheesy

IcelandicYoghurt · 16/05/2019 23:09

Yum

BackforGood · 16/05/2019 23:08

No.
Far too cheesy for me.

helpmum2003 · 16/05/2019 23:07

Brianna please - I think Brie would be cruel tbh.

MarieToulouseBerlioz · 16/05/2019 23:07

Nope, really dont like it sorry!

I used to be obsessed with desperate housewives but always hated how bree was called bree!

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/05/2019 23:06

My parents are friends with a couple who are called Bri and Cameron. Dad always refers to them as Bri and Camembert. It always amuses me

BikeRunSki · 16/05/2019 23:06

Sorry, “silent” should be “spelt”.

AuntieStella · 16/05/2019 23:05

How about the Scottish name Breagha ?

BikeRunSki · 16/05/2019 23:05

Isn’t the girls name silent “Bree” though?

PuppetShowInTheSoundofMusic · 16/05/2019 23:03

I can't bear it as a name as I can't get past the cheese association - and not just generally.

Every time I hear that name I see a triangular slice of that anaemic white slightly melting at room temperature goo.

Wrong thing to do to a child. There are literally thousands and thousands of other names. Pick another.

It's dreadful.

NormanTheForeman · 16/05/2019 23:03

Brianna with Brie for short might be ok. Otherwise totally cheesy! Grin

MaudeLynne · 16/05/2019 23:00

lol, fab!

HeronLanyon · 16/05/2019 22:59

Cheesy. Soft cheesy!

INeedNewShoes · 16/05/2019 22:59

I think it would only be fair if you call them Breanna with the nickname of Bri then they have options!
