Could I call a baby Brie, or is it too American and/or too cheesy? 🤔

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Its a cheese.

You would need a longer name with bree as nickname eg

Brielle
Bridget
Brianne etc

CloserIAm2Fine · 17/05/2019 19:44

No it’s awful, Brianna or Brianne is much nicer

HavelockVetinari · 17/05/2019 19:01

I wouldn't use it on its own.

Also, where do you live? In the North of Scotland (Highlands and Isles) bree means stock or gravy in Scots, or a commotion if you speak Gaelic.

BlueMerchant · 17/05/2019 18:55

Really don't like it.

MarniLou · 17/05/2019 18:54

I really like it! Especially as the shortened version of Brianna.

procrastinatingtoday · 17/05/2019 18:14

Thanks for thoughts (and jokes 😁). I personally don't like Brianna, Bree etc. Gabrielle is nice actually, but does remind me as well of Desperate housewives 😃

How can Bree be better than Brie unless it’s written down?

Reallybadidea · 17/05/2019 17:41

Brie is awful.
Bree is a bit better.
Brianna is OK until you realise that it's the feminine form of Brian.

Lookingforpizza · 17/05/2019 17:22

I know a very cute Brie and it’s changed my perception of the name, I think it’s really nice, if you like it go for it

stepup123 · 17/05/2019 17:19

It's not as awful as some of the suggestions on here, but it is usually spelt bree. It reminds me of desperate housewives

Destinationunknown1 · 17/05/2019 17:11

It's a wobbly, rich cheese. Why would you call your child after a cheese?!

UrsulaPandress · 17/05/2019 10:53

Love that book.

Minniemagoo · 17/05/2019 10:52

Bree is the name
See to me Bree is the horse from the Narnia book

UrsulaPandress · 17/05/2019 08:37

I know a Breeze.

MsMustDoBetter · 17/05/2019 08:33

Too cheesy.

IHeartKingThistle · 17/05/2019 08:24

I like Brienne like in GOT

CherryPavlova · 17/05/2019 08:15

The jokes have all been done ☹️

PenguinsRabbits · 17/05/2019 08:11

I think its fine as long as you make the middle name Exit. Brie Exit has a good ring to it. Smile Goes especially well if your surname has 6 letters starting with an F. Smile

ItsGoingTibiaK · 17/05/2019 08:10

You’ll probably find it hard at first, but once she matures...

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 17/05/2019 08:04

I know someone who has Gabriella and uses Brie from the middle of the name

cheesewitheverything · 17/05/2019 08:02

One of my favourite cheeses Grin

PlatypusLeague · 17/05/2019 07:58

Cheesy. However an anagram would be Erib, which is a bit like Erin. Or go for Ribe, short for Ribena, or Bire as nickname for Biro.

MummyofTw0 · 17/05/2019 07:50

Lol definitely too cheesy 🤣

TheVanguardSix · 17/05/2019 07:42

How about Lea? Short for Dairylea.

funmummy48 · 17/05/2019 07:37

Sorry but it's a cheese.
