Middle names for Kaelyn?

So basically I want a name for a girl that isn't common, however I don't mind if the middle name is slightly more common (but not super common). I have fallen in love with the name Kaelyn (Kay-Lin - almost like Caitlin without the t) but I'm stuck for a middle name!

I've come up with:

  • Kaelyn Paige
  • Kaelyn Jade

But I haven't fallen in love with these like I have for the first name, so does anyone have any other suggestions? My surname is Robinson so obviously I need something that flows nicely with that - I'm not too fussy about the length as long as it doesn't take 10 minutes to pronounce Wink .

OP posts:

It was far from bullying. It was cheeky, definitely not bullying.

taylorlynn · 10/05/2019 17:37

Ohgodwhyme the reason it was deleted was because I reported you for bullying. Unbelievably nasty.

Ohgodwhyme · 10/05/2019 17:21

Ok. I really really really really really don’t like it. I think it is very lower class and I really don’t like it. Hope this passes Mumsnet Guidelines

I'm undecided whether to use Kaelyn or Kailyn

Kailyn's nicer imo. Kailyn Rose has a nice ring to it.

Greencustard · 10/05/2019 16:26

I thought caelyn was a boys name!

I think that's Caolán possibly?

zebrarobot · 10/05/2019 16:19

Im not getting the morphine references?

But to the OP i do prefer your spelling with the K as there is a boy called Caelan in my son's class so I think the K makes it more girly. As a middle name I think something short is good, i like Jade. Jane is also good. Grace maybe? Ava, Eve?

ineedtostopbeingsolazy · 10/05/2019 16:12

Plenty of people won't make the association with morphine they won't have a clue so don't worry about that too much.
I prefer the C spelling of it though, but it's up to you how you want to spell it.

I like Kaelyn Marie

puma84 · 10/05/2019 16:06

Kaelyn is a lovely name and I prefer it with the k, it looks odd spelt with a c.

I've no idea what the morphine connection is so goes to show not everyone will make that jump.

I thought caelyn was a boys name!

JugglingMummyof2 · 10/05/2019 15:36

Oh sorry - I only saw the first page. I'll get my coat...

JugglingMummyof2 · 10/05/2019 15:34

Annmorphine? Sorry but it is what I always think when I hear the name

NorthernRunner · 10/05/2019 15:30

Didn’t have to open the thread to know someone would have piped up with the chavvy insult Hmm

I think Kaelyn Belle is nice

PinkieTuscadero · 10/05/2019 15:25

Christ but MN is full of dull Little Englanders bleating on about things being 'chavvy'.

TulipsTulipsTulips · 10/05/2019 15:24

Felicity is a lovely middle name

Love all the people saying Kaelyn is tacky, but that Caitlin pronounced Kate-lin is absolutely fine. It's pronounced Cotch-leen, Kate-lin is a far bigger abomination than Kaelyn in my eyes.

taylorlynn · 10/05/2019 08:40

The OP has clearly just asked for a middle name for Kaelyn so everyone making stupid remarks needs to leave the conversation. Not everyone is going to like every name but some of the comments on here are bullying and goady. If you haven't got something nice to say don't bloody say it.

liajayne · 10/05/2019 08:31

@BasiliskStare nah - I wasn't aiming it at you, your response was constructive and explained things... I'm on about the responses that have literally just said spell it with a C or morpthine becuase they aren't exactly helpful 🤷🏼‍♀️

I want it to begin with the K becuase when I see Cailyn my brain immediately adds a t in the middle and I read Caitlin (I know too many caitlins and want something a little different). Would the spelling be better is it was Kailyn?

@liajayne - so sorry if you thought I was being unhelpful , but I did try to answer your question ( see post) - it is obviously your choice re your daughters' name. I think Felicity would be a great middle name , as would Grace. Actually - another suggestion , which I do not think is very popular these days but lovely - Frances. (Worth a thought @liajayne? )

jcq17 · 10/05/2019 08:03

Kaelyn Rae

formerbabe · 10/05/2019 08:01

The name sounds nice but I agree that its definitely better spelt with a C. The K spelling makes it appear totally different...I'm choosing my words carefully here.
