Love them all but especially anya and Zara, they're such elegant, timeless names

Zazia · 06/05/2019 00:10

I really like Imogen and Zara.

JaretsGirlfren · 05/05/2019 23:15

Imogen is perfect may be biased as it’s DD’s name

aibutohavethisusername · 05/05/2019 23:15

I like Zara.
I think Imogen is good too but more popular now.

Stravapalava · 05/05/2019 23:08

Imogen - never been a fan of this name, I think it's the "juh" sound in the middle that just sounds off to me.

Anya - ok
Lila - lye-la or lilla? Again it's just ok. Wasn't the mean girl in Sweet Valley High called Lila or am I making that up?
Zara - really pretty.

FannyFeatures · 05/05/2019 19:55

Imogen
Anya
Zara
Lila

I know an adult, a teen and 2 small Imogen's and none of them have ever been shortened.

MikeUniformMike · 05/05/2019 19:48

Imogen - it's ok but will get shortened to Immy
Anya - nice but I prefer Anna
Lila - no.
Zara - nice

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 05/05/2019 18:51

Imogen - really like
Anya - like but dont love
Lila - really like but think I prefer the spelling Lyla
Zara - really like

Allthecolours · 05/05/2019 05:53

First name Zara, middle name Imogen.

Greggers2017 · 05/05/2019 05:26

Lyla. It's the name I've picked for my baby due next month.

sj55 · 05/05/2019 05:23

All ok at least they’re not chav names, you know the double barrelled ones.

barryfromclareisfit · 05/05/2019 04:07

Zara is ok. The rest, no.

Calixtine · 05/05/2019 03:51

Lila feels overused to me despite what the figures say, because of the concurrent popularity of lots of very similar sounding names at the moment: as well as Lila/Lyla you’ve got Layla/Leila/Laila, Lola, Lily/Lilly/Lillie... It all adds up to a very popular collection of sounds.

It is a pretty name, don’t get me wrong, but the others feel much more distinctive even if technically more popular (eg. Imogen is 39th but nothing else really sounds like Imogen).

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 05/05/2019 03:50

Really like Imogen and anya

Lila sounds like a tampon.

Not keen on Zara.

MercyBodle · 05/05/2019 03:09

From favourite to least:

Imogen (love)
Anya (really like and like that it's not commonly used)
Zara (really like)
Lila (sweet enough but over-used, not as feisty as the others)

OldAndWornOut · 05/05/2019 01:02

I love Zara, then Lila the best.

mathanxiety · 05/05/2019 00:53

Zara, Lila......
(Almost all other names here).

Imogen and Anya a long way back.

Theoldwoman · 05/05/2019 00:45

I only love Zara.

girlsname · 05/05/2019 00:43

I have a Lila (pronounced lie-la), and I am complimented on her name all the time. For those saying it is overused it was only 320th spelt Lila in 2017 in the UK! Number 95 spelt Lyla but still, the two spellings added together still don't make it very common and I've only ever come across one other at my daughters dance class. Just in case popularity bothers you OP.

Lila
Zara
Imogen
Anya
