So, here it is, the fourth(!!!) Guessing Game baby names thread. Shock

All credit to @scotstar for creating the game, back in March 2018. Can't believe how far we've come!

Previous threads here:

1: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3189874-guessing-game

2: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3207745-Guessing-game-II

3: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3262724-Guessing-game-III?pg=1â„´=

The game is simple. Guess the name the poster is describing, then it's your turn! Make the clues as fiendish as you like. Grin

All are welcome to join in! @FintyTin, @Ladywillpower, @LadyGAgain and @DuggeeHugs, come join! (Plus others I've forgotten)

This old German name opened Pandora's box in 1929. Her royal connections meant that she waltzed off to one of the Channel Islands with the Doctor.

@Clettercletterthatsbetter has guessed Clara!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ladywillpower · 19/07/2019 19:01

Yes!
Well done finallychangedmy user name!
All correct & Neville Southall was the Welsh goalkeeper " saviour" .

finallychangedmyusername · 19/07/2019 18:20

Illnesses?! Autocorrect fail: - lionesses!

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 19/07/2019 18:19

Phil Neville is coach for the England illnesses, his brother Gary Neville is another footballer. Neville Chamberlain was PM during wartime.

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 19/07/2019 18:16

Ah, Neville?

OP posts:
Ladywillpower · 19/07/2019 07:40

Not Winston, though close politically.
The big cats are lionesses!

finallychangedmyusername · 18/07/2019 20:42

Winston?

OP posts:
Ladywillpower · 18/07/2019 03:41

Not David!
Probably more common as a surname than a first name.
The clue refers to both.
The wartime reference is WW2.

LadyGAgain · 17/07/2019 21:56

David (Lloyd-George)? (Beckham) (Attenborough - Cats)

Ladywillpower · 17/07/2019 11:21

My brother shares this name & also played the "beautiful game".

Ladywillpower · 16/07/2019 21:24

Not Donald

LadyGAgain · 16/07/2019 14:38

Donald?

Ladywillpower · 16/07/2019 09:37

New clue
I have a recent affinity with big cats. Many did not agree with my wartime political stance but I was often a Welsh "saviour".

Ellmau · 15/07/2019 22:02

Explanation of clues: It means shepherdess; the most famous one was the wife of Richard I of England, aka Richard the Lionheart, thought by some historians to be gay.

Ellmau · 15/07/2019 22:00

Yes!

Ladywillpower · 15/07/2019 20:06

Berengaria?

Ellmau · 15/07/2019 19:45

No.

finallychangedmyusername · 15/07/2019 19:22

Maud?

OP posts:
Ellmau · 15/07/2019 19:04

Time for another clue:

The lion's heart, or perhaps the lion's beard?

Ellmau · 14/07/2019 11:18

No.

The queen is medieval.

LadyGAgain · 14/07/2019 10:42

Amanda?

Ellmau · 13/07/2019 17:19

I got it from the phone clue ;)

Next name:

Shepherdess or queen.

finallychangedmyusername · 13/07/2019 16:34

You got it, Elliot/Elliott!

French girl = "Elle
Recreational drug= "ee"
Over the top= "OTT"

Elliot the female doctor in Scrubs, correct, plus Elliot Gould played Ross and Monica's dad in Friends.

And Elliott helped E.T. "phone home" Grin

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 13/07/2019 12:39

That must be it. And I'm now really cross with myself as I thought of Elliot (scrubs) but couldn't put together the rest of the puzzle. Well done abs great clues!

Ellmau · 13/07/2019 08:42

Elliot(t)?

finallychangedmyusername · 13/07/2019 08:14

My first sentence describes the name, each syllable at a time....
