We are both teachers so like sort of unusual names as we can nearly almost recall a child with every name that we think of and it puts us off them. We would like to go for unusual but not TOO out there.
We also really like unisex names for girls.

On our top contenders for girls just now are Quinn , Aaryn (aryn, arynn) and maybe Blake.
Needing help with some boys names and another potential girls name that go with the names we already like.

Thank you !!

Kit is another of those names

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2019 07:29

Blackprism. I love those names. They sound like they should be in a book. Violet, Klaus and Sunny are the Beaudelaires from Lemony Snicket. Quigley, Isadora and Duncan are their friends.

BlackPrism · 02/05/2019 03:51

Sunny, Lola and Klaus

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2019 02:08

I wouldn't make the names too samey. It can be hard for outsiders to distinguish. Quinn and Aryn would a bit much I think. I love Arwen from LOTR.

Are there any place names which are special to you? That's fairly unisex (Paris etc.).

I don't know why, but Orson for a boy came to mind.

ARealAlien · 02/05/2019 01:52

With Quinn , Aaryn and Blake. You could have them also for boys. They are very unisex names, Quinn, Aaron and Blake. I've known boys with these names, never girls, so easily unisex.

I know a lovely scots woman called Caledonia, it really suits her.

sg12 · 02/05/2019 00:06

I know and I wish it wasn’t !!! but it is also gaelic for Scotland which comes to mind for us first before the cassette tapes.

Alba is a make of video and cassette tape.

tiramisu1 · 01/05/2019 12:40

Love Alba for a girl. Or how about Aria?

Love Quinn for a boy. Or how about Morgan?

Icklepup · 01/05/2019 12:12

Love Quinn and Alba.
Cassia?

MumUnderTheMoon · 01/05/2019 09:06

Banner is an occupation name like Mason or Clark or Carter. Although, having previously seen online it was Scottish I've now found a site saying it's English so I was wrong there.

twinkle999 · 01/05/2019 07:48

Banner?! It’s a thing not a name.
Caledonia would also be terrible and I’m Scottish.

Also Islay with the lay pronounced terrible. Really confusing - the island pronounced Is-la

Lavenderblues · 01/05/2019 07:13

Alba and Islay are lovely!

Quinn is very much a boys name around here, often short for Quentin. And Blake is a surname.

abcriskringle · 01/05/2019 07:01

I've always liked Spencer for a girl but that may be because I'm a huge Pretty Little Liars fan.

Zoflorabore · 01/05/2019 06:16

Just saw ops other post. Banner is my favourite boys name that is Scottish but it definitely isn't unisex. Other Scottish names I love are Wallace, Drummond and Baird for boys Mariota, Alwyne and Iona for girls and Adair, Skye and Rowan work for either.

WatcherintheRye · 01/05/2019 00:59

I'm pretty sure these won't be your kind of names, op, but your thread reminded me that years ago I named my fantasy triplets Bebe, Mimi and Lulu! Grin
Congrats on your real ones! Flowers
