Lovely name, but imo fairly modern so not classic in the way George is for a boy.

I hear the song in my head and it's all relaxing and jazzy so I like it! Classic one for me - a few naice girls at my school had it and both were sweet so I don't have the bad association thing I do with lots of girls names having gone to a girls school!

I think it's lovely. Just don't spell it Jorja. I have a teenage student with that spelling. Makes me wince every time I read it.

Classic is not about popularity but endurance.

Elizabeth is a classic.
Gertrude is not.

But I don't really see it as a classic girls' name. Could be wrong. It feels a very recent, modern name to me. The only old mention I can think of is "Georgia on my mind" but I'm not sure if that's about a woman or the US state?!

Elizabeth and Anne are hardly massively popular right now either but both would surely be considered classics.

Georgia is the name of a state in the USA as it was named after one of the King Georges (probably the bonkers one). So a name that has been a feminized version of George for hundreds of years is a classic in my book.

I really like it. If you look on the ONS chart you can see it's not really a classic. It's dated & it's never been a classic. Georgina & Georgiana are much classier names, IMO. I don't like Georgia at all.

Brits always seem to like George names of every variety and gender. They seem to have staying power across the generations.

It's a bit 90s really and it's not as classic as Georgina and Georgiana but still a nicer name in my opinion.
