Love the name Parker, but I know of a girl called this so for me its a girl name now x

Pemba · 27/04/2019 12:46

Horrible name - 'nosy Parker' etc. Puppet from Thunderbirds. I wouldn't even like to have it as my surname.

Bumblebeesmum · 27/04/2019 09:57

Nosy parker

Tavannach · 27/04/2019 00:15

Arthur's much, much better.

Good luck.

SpeedofaSloth · 27/04/2019 00:13

Pen.

Beeziekn33ze · 27/04/2019 00:13

GS has a Canadian friend named Carter

Beeziekn33ze · 27/04/2019 00:12

Have another think about Arthur. I was surprised when it was chosen for GS but it’s still reasonably unusual, has a great history and really suits him.

CupOhTea · 27/04/2019 00:08

Hmmmmm not my cup of tea. I’ve heard worse.

I can imagine someone from TOWIE being called Parker. They all have nice enough names though.

Lottie35 · 26/04/2019 23:22

Possibly worst name ever

incogneto · 26/04/2019 22:09

Hmmm the connotations of nosy Parker wouldn't bother me and they haven't even crossed my mind until PPs pointed out on this thread.

I do like the name although it is very American I am aware.

It's better than other names that DP has suggested anyway 🙈

Desperate housewives was my first thought too! It’s not a name I’d choose but it’s not one I’d judge someone for using either!

ScreamScreamIceCream · 26/04/2019 22:03

Nosy Parker like PPs said.

Chose a name without horrible connotations attached to it.

YouLikeTheBadOnesToo · 26/04/2019 22:00

My ds’ first little friend was called Parker. It’s not a name I would have ever considered, but knowing the little boy, and seeing him grow into his name I really like it.

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 26/04/2019 21:58

It so surnamey that it doesn't sound right as a first name, especially on baby.

Peter?

AfterSchoolWorry · 26/04/2019 21:38

Nosy Parker.

Awful.

incogneto · 26/04/2019 21:35

@Heratnumber7 his surname would begin with a W

OP posts:
FromDespairToHere · 26/04/2019 21:35

Thunderbirds

Heratnumber7 · 26/04/2019 21:35

Actually, whatever your surname is, "it's a No from me".

incogneto · 26/04/2019 21:35

Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

WIBU to just wait until he's born and we've had a look at him before naming him? Hmm

Heratnumber7 · 26/04/2019 21:34

What's your surname?

TurquoiseAndPurple · 26/04/2019 21:34

I really love Parker! I know of twins named Phoebe & Parker ❤️

barryfromclareisfit · 26/04/2019 21:31

Sorry, it’s terrible.

ThanksItHasPockets · 26/04/2019 21:29

Thunderbirds.

IggyAce · 26/04/2019 21:28

I like Parker, but I do like surnames as first names. Other suggestions
Chase
Preston
Austin
Archer

Jekyllandhydesmother · 26/04/2019 21:28

I think I like it. It sounds quite American but I'm a fan of that. I don't reckon DH would like it but then I love Ezra and he hates it so he's clearly got no taste 😂

Good luck for tomorrow!
