I’ve recently fallen in love with this name and pilsner love to hear what people think about it as well as middle name options.

I am wondering if it gives off an old lady vibe which I’ve been told by some people that it does!

My sister is Harriet Grace. I think it's a lovely name.

Have always loved it but DH was at school with a Harriet he didn’t like so vetoed it every time!

Interesting comparison. I dislike both Imogen and Harriet...I think they both have a similar feel...although both seem very popular on these boards.

We have Harriet Grace and we love it. She is our youngest (Eldest =Emily May) and suits the name well. One meaning is “ruler of the house”!! She is mostly Hattie to friends but Hats or Hattie at home (and sometime Harriet Grace). I love the flexibility in names. I quite like Harri too.

I loved it but we have an 'H' surname and it sounded weird. My DD (13) has three friends called Harriet (never shortened!), Hattie and Hats.....I think its a gorgeous, classic name.

My eldest is called Harriet but she's all grown up now. She loves her name. Feels it's strong but still feminine and loves being called Harry (only since secondary school though) she hates Hattie though.

Harriet is the best girls name, it's feminin but also strong and not just a "pretty girls name".

LOVE it. DD was going to be called Harriet (nn Hallie - old English shortening), but swapped to something else at the last min

I have a Hattie (and name regret...!) just if you’d intend that for a nickname worth considering all the unfortunate rhyming words; fatty Hattie, catty Hattie, ratty Hattie.... (clearly none of which I considered in the post birth delirium when naming my precious baby....!) Hmm

My grandmother was called Harriet (Hetty), my schoolfriend was called Harriet (Harry) and now I have a DD called Harriet (Hatty)
There always seem to be a few of them around, though recently I have met more girls called Hatty/Hattie as their given name.
I love the name, always did, and DH didn't have much of a choice on girls' names! Grin

I'm a Harriet. Pretty much known as Hatti by everyone (including work) apart from boyfriend and dad who always call me Harriet. I'm early 30's now but growing up I didn't know any other Harriets, which I kind of liked.

I have now met a few other Harriet's, most late teens or early 20's and most like being called Harry. I used to hate it if someone called me Harry! I have only ever met one other Hatti and she was a baby.

I really like my name. :-)
