I only know of older Kay's and no Kaye's

I like it but spelled Kay. The 'e' on the end isn't necessary.

Kaye/Kay is just awful. All the names you could choose it'd be madness to use Kay/Kaye. I think it's dated too.

Kay, Jay, Dee, Elle, basically letters of the alphabet. Much nicer names out there that aren't just a sound.

Traditionally, Kay was sometimes used a short form of Katherine/Kathleen etc.

If it were me, I'd use one of those names - or, as previous poster suggested, another name beginning with 'K' - with Kay as a nickname.

There was a very talented actress called Kay Kendall, if anyone remembers her.

I like it but if your concerned I suppose you could give her a name that starts with a "K" and use it as a nn.

I quite like it. I’d use it as a shortening for Michaela/Mikayla rather than a stand alone name though.

I like Kay - very retro chic. I wouldn't spell it with an e though.

I've only come across it in a children's book about women in WWII - if it was in use for people born in the 1920s, it'll come back round soon.

I've not heard it before but Kaye/Kay sounds pretty and makes a refreshing change from all the Ellies, Evies etc. So it's s yes from me!

My first thoughts, isn’t Kaye the name of the young Knight From the legend of King Arthur? Arthur is his assistant, forgets his sword at the tournament, finds the one in the stone, pulls it out to give to Kaye?

In my head it’s a good name for a boy or girl.
