We want something spunky and a bit different. Do you like either of these names? Which do you prefer?

Vivien

Maxine just makes me think of maxine carr even tho i like the name. Maxi is nice but makes me think of Pad. So maxine carr or maxi pad.

The answer has to be Vivien

Pemba · 16/04/2019 12:37

Vivienne by miles. Or spelled like Vivien Leigh.

Maxine still seems quite dated, and made up too.

RickOShay · 16/04/2019 09:48

I think Vivian is the masculine spelling.

birdgal4848 · 15/04/2019 22:16

As soon as I here the name Maxine I think of Maxine Carr and then that makes me think of those poor little innocent girls.
So maybe don’t choose that one...

sevenyears · 15/04/2019 15:12

I’ve got a family member called Vivienne in her 70s so it feels very old fashioned. But then I don’t like names like Ivy or Violet either which are popular at the moment.

Cross post @TwinsTrollsAndHunz Smile

Bentley111 · 15/04/2019 13:37

I love Vivienne...
Maxine immediately makes me think of Maxine Carr

TwinsTrollsAndHunz · 15/04/2019 13:36

Vivienne.

Unfortunately I can only think of Maxine Carr when I hear or read the name ‘Maxine’.

MikeUniformMike · 15/04/2019 13:34

Maxine. Vivien is quite nice but I think Vivienne will be said Vivvy En.

Nnnnnineteen · 15/04/2019 12:49

Vivienne is slightly better but I had an Aunty Viv which is utterly frumptastic.

sevenyears · 15/04/2019 09:44

I don’t like either of them but Vivienne is always popular on here.

LittleMissMummaBear · 15/04/2019 09:43

I really don’t like Maxine. Vivienne is better, although I prefer Vivian spelling.
Can I suggest Juliet/Juliette? Seems like something you may like! x

Flamingosnbears · 15/04/2019 08:33

Maxine. Vivienne is becoming more popular where as I've not heard Maxine being used its a lovely strong name.

Smellslikemiddleagespirit · 15/04/2019 08:26

I think it would be nice to see the return of the Maxine!

Vivienne is nice, but hate the inevitable “Viv”

NutMeghan · 15/04/2019 08:24

Vivienne.

There are so many little boy Max-es running around I think I would avoid Maxine for that reason.

StereophonicallyChallenged · 15/04/2019 07:04

I prefer Maxine. But that's because I've only known lovely Maxines Smile

GiantPretzel · 15/04/2019 07:01

Both very dated. To me, they’re not far off Barbara and Angela.

PlatypusLeague · 15/04/2019 06:59

Vivienne

miamiibiza · 15/04/2019 06:46

Vivienne

bakingisnotforwimps · 15/04/2019 06:37

Love Vivienne

edgeofheaven · 15/04/2019 06:15

Maxine is so dated. Vivienne is much better.

Tavannach · 15/04/2019 06:13

Vivienne

Peachbubble · 15/04/2019 06:10

Vivienne

MontyPants · 15/04/2019 02:03

Vivienne is lovely. Maxine is a bit 80s
