I love Alice and Caleb the most.

I would avoid Violet. I always hear violent and vile.

Freddie, Ash, Kit and Leo would also not stand alone names.

In answer to some of your questions, Effie, Josie, Frankie and Bea would be stand-alone names as I don’t like the longer variations

Kit and Harry.
Harry is fine but it seems that most of the people I know has a Jack or a Harry.
Kit - ok short for Christopher but is getting too popular and it has been used by the Rooneys, so it's a No.

Effie - I don't think thus queen the works as a stand-alone (effing s euphemism wouid also put me off)
Alice - lovely, classic
Frankie - again don't like as standalone
Pippa - OK
Iona - OK
Josie - like
Bea - doesn't work, other than as a nickname
Lois - not my taste, but a good name
Violet - lovely

Freddie - lovely as a nickname and just about OK standing alone
Noah - OK
Ash - don't like as stand alone
Caleb - OK
Charlie - OK (ish)
Leo - like
Kit - lovely (but I wouid use as a nn for Christopher)
Harry - like

Can't score because I prefer the full names to the diminutives.
Effie - No. Don't like it at all
Alice - 1
Frankie - not keen
Pippa - 2, short for Philippa
Iona - Depends on surname.
Josie - prefer Josephine
Bea - short for Beatrice?
Lois - ok
Violet - ok

Effie - I like this !
Alice - lovely, timeless name suits all ages
Frankie - not keen, I like Francesca though with Frankie as a nn maybe
Pippa - cute for a kid but can't picture it on an adult
Iona - don't like this . Meh.
Josie - ok , sounds like it should be short for something but don't like Josephine
Bea - dislike
Lois - dislike
Violet - quite like this

Boys:

Freddie - cute but very common
Noah - love this
Ash - not as a full name , I like Asher !
Caleb - nice , it seems dated to me these days though, It was very common 8/9 years Ago
Charlie - like this
Leo - like this

Out of them all I like best - Alice , Effie , Charlie and Noah !
