Yes Betsy is cute, Elizabeth is not.
Betsy is fine as a name in it's own right.

PepsiPeach · 08/04/2019 20:42

Betsy. I don't think you need Elizabeth on the birth cert at all, Betsy is lovely as a stand alone name.

Ellie is horrific. Please don't use this!

RoseMartha · 08/04/2019 20:25

Ellie

MondeoFan · 08/04/2019 20:24

Ellie is far far too common. Trust me I've worked with children past 10 years. No way I would choose Ellie, Amelia or Grace.
Wayyyyy overused

Tiramisu1 · 08/04/2019 20:24

Ellie is so overused and dull!

Betsy is cute but I much prefer Elizabeth.

I really don’t want to use Elizabeth as her name would be Betsy which is what I like rather than Elizabeth !

I like Betsy but I would want Elizabeth as a proper name on the birth certificate. Ellie is a bit bland. It was nice once but is now a bit dated perhaps. I know loads in their early 20s. I’d probably go for Betsy.

elephantoverthehill · 08/04/2019 20:21

Be prepared for her name often mis-spelt as Besty Grin

ArtisanPopcorn · 08/04/2019 20:19

Both a bit too cutesy for me but I'd go for Betsy as there are so many Ellies and Ellas ages from babies to 30s. It's been done to death.

Amberheartkitty · 08/04/2019 20:18

Betsy. Way way too many Ellie’s about.

Betsy

elephantoverthehill · 08/04/2019 20:14

Sorry Betsy is taken, she's Elizabeth on her birth certificate so she can be whatever when she grows up.

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 08/04/2019 20:14

Not Ellie, there are millions of them.
Betsy is cute 🙂
