I’ve only ever known one, many years ago. Beautiful name. Agree it’s pronounced Leena.

Lara or Laura.

I really don't like Luna, for two reasons, one, loony Luna in Harry Potter still looms large, and I can't hear the name Luna without thinking loony, and two, my friend has a dog called Luna. Who is indeed a loony.

1.Lena (pronounced with a long 'ee' sound).

  1. Luna (but yes, v. v. popular and I think it will date - but so do a lot of names!)
  1. Lara. Nice but a litle plain?
  1. Lily. Too many them!

Lara is lovely. Luna is awful (Loony/loon) , Lily is over-popular and Lena sounds weird (Leaner/Lean)

Oh Luna was my favourite.. do you really think it will date?

Lena I think has risen also because of I think Zara tindells daughter. But I like it pronounced leena not Layna.
