I am SO INDESCIVE, first we liked Elsie Belle, then Maggie, but now me and my DH finally agree on this name (Ivy, middle name Alice) and I think it is lovely with my first DD's name (Ruby). it really suits my DD too. What does everyone think? x

Love Love Love Alice
Not sure on the Ivy personally.

My nanna was ivy violet and I loved the name as a child. I wanted it for dd but exP vetoed it. Dd is 17 now and back then it would have been a bit "out there".

If I had another child to name I'd definitely use it. Congratulations Flowers

Ivy Alice is really lovely. So much nicer than the other names you've been suggesting. And it goes well with Ruby.

@Mumshappy thank you!

@m0therofdragons thank you, Kitty Alice is such a gorgeous name!

all this positive feedback is making me fall in love with the name Ivy even more! x

I love it. Dd3 is Kitty Alice because my nanna died while I was pregnant with her and my nanna's name was Ivy. Our surname is a tree so we couldn't use Ivy without sounding like w list of plants. We chose my nanna's sister's name instead but if it weren't for our surname she'd be Ivy. Love it.

Mumshappy · 30/03/2019 16:19

Love it

@MeMeMeYou thank you! I am also a teacher (reception) haha and I have taught a few Alices but no Ivys. guess it's area! and I agree can be so hard with 10 Olivias, 15 Isabellas and 12 Georgias! x

Really pretty name combo, I really like it. I have noticed Ivy getting more popular - have met two recently - if that has an impact on your choice. Alice was on my list for my son in case he was a girl! I've only met one. I'm a teacher so I come across some names where there are so many in one class it's tricky for everyone!

Love it. Both names are lovely and classic but with a a cool slant.

daisypond · 30/03/2019 16:07

I'm not personally keen on Ivy, sorry, though I like Alice.
