Hi,

I already have DS1 called Kaiden and due another DS in about 8 weeks time. Struggling to find a name I love at the moment however there are names I like...

Frankie
Louie
Luca

What do you think? What goes best with Kaiden?

Thanks x

Luca

GreatDuckCookery · 01/04/2019 10:24

Louis not Louie.

Personally I don’t think any go with Kaiden though. If you want a name to match I would go with something like Riley, Jordan, Tyler, Brooklyn or Callum.

TatianaLarina · 31/03/2019 22:46

It was one of my grandmother’s names as it happens.

Tiramisu1 · 31/03/2019 22:44

Louie is a woman’s name

Sybelline · 31/03/2019 18:19

Louie is fine, OP.

TatianaLarina · 31/03/2019 18:18

They’re American - they pronounce Marlborough Marlboro. France is just across the channel, Louis a French name and it’s pronounced Looee.

Louie is a woman’s name - dim of Louise.

Sybelline · 31/03/2019 17:44

That's true.

Tiramisu1 · 31/03/2019 17:38

Is pronounced

Tiramisu1 · 31/03/2019 17:38

Only among a particular socio-demographic who don’t know how Louis

Tell that to the citizens of St Louis in Missouri! They ALL call it St Lou-is!!

BlueMerchant · 31/03/2019 17:06

I think Frankie 'goes' best with Kaiden but it really won't matter as they get older.
My favorite is Louie- by far.

Zana2222 · 31/03/2019 17:04

Love Louie

ElizabethMainwaring · 31/03/2019 16:40

Socio demographic! Ha ha ha! You total tit!,

Filibustering · 31/03/2019 16:35

Only among a particular socio-demographic who don’t know how Louis is pronouned or know people who won’t know how to pronounce it.

OP, it doesn't need to 'go with' Kaiden -- they're not a pair of ornaments for your mantelpiece.

I like Luca the best of your three suggestions.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 31/03/2019 16:33

Love Louis, but Louis spelling.

Flicketyflack · 31/03/2019 16:32

Louis not Louie Wink

TatianaLarina · 31/03/2019 16:25

so the Louie spelling is becoming more popular

Only among a particular socio-demographic who don’t know how Louis is pronouned or know people who won’t know how to pronounce it.

Tiramisu1 · 31/03/2019 16:15

Kaiden and Louie sound good together.

DarlingLittleBabyName · 31/03/2019 15:05

Oh dear, I thought Kaiden was the surname!! Hahaha, well Louie and Kaiden sound great together anyway! x

DarlingLittleBabyName · 31/03/2019 15:04

Louie Kaiden sounds great, Louie is my favourite from the list. Luca is nice too, how about Lucas or Luke? Not overly keen on Frankie but go with what gives you the happiest feeling OP! x

bridgetreilly · 31/03/2019 14:58

Frank nn Frankie.

daisypond · 30/03/2019 10:39

They’re different styles of names. Maybe Frankie goes best but I prefer Louis - spelled that way. Louie is odd. Luca is only ok if you’re Italian. Luke or Lucas or Lucian are really nice.

Tiramisu1 · 30/03/2019 10:29

Frank is nicer than Franky or Frankie

Tiramisu1 · 30/03/2019 10:28

I think last year more boys were called Louie than Louis, so the Louie spelling is becoming more popular. At least Louie will never be mispronounced

jiggsymalone · 30/03/2019 09:06

If you are Italian then I would go with Luca if not then Louie or PP's suggestion of Luke.

TatianaLarina · 30/03/2019 08:33

Louis is a great name. But spell it properly or call him Lewis.

Frankie is awful. Prefer Luke to Luca unless you’re Italian.
