What girl names are on par with Sophia?

Reasons I like sophia:
Traditional and classic
But also in fashion
Feminine but strong
Likes that it ends in “a”
Princessy
International and seen positively across the world.

What name can compare?

Thanks

Ah-Liss-ee-ah - it’s my sisters name and she hears all different pronunciations but that’s how she says it.

VanessaShanessaJenkins · 24/03/2019 12:27

It's pronounced like you think Grin

Netflixaddiction · 24/03/2019 12:05

How is Alicia pronounced?
Al-lee-see-ya (which I like)

Or aleesha which I don’t..

Thank you everyone.
I wish I could use sophia ( it’s popularity doesn’t bother me) but my neice is called sophia so I can’t use it. I think it’s the perfect name.
I can’t use Isabella/Annabelle/Amelia as it’s already been taken by close family friends.

But thank you I’m loving some options of Alice, Clara, Lara, Katrina

There is only 1 Sophia in DD's school. I don't think it is that overused.

Bellaposey · 24/03/2019 07:34

Saw someone recently have a Sophina. I wasn't sure at first but it's grown on me.

Cbeebiesrehab · 24/03/2019 07:32

I love Sofia...pronounced ‘Soph-eye-uh’ but I guess that would probably take a lot of correcting of people.
Isabella is similar to me but very popular.

HalfBloodPrincess · 24/03/2019 07:12

Not a classic but Tiana ticks all your other boxes.

lilabet2 · 24/03/2019 01:25

Some of these names are lovely & I can see them ticking all the boxes - others are leaving me baffled as to how people think it ticks any of that list at all.... fascinating how we hear these names so differently

Possibly Beatrice is a similar sort of vibe?
