I take your point, Name, derogatory isn’t quite the right word I was after.

MercyBodle · 22/03/2019 08:08

I think Daisy works really well as Phoebe's sister - lovely name. Heidi feels dated (I know several adult Heidis), like it's the wrong generation to go with the modern Phoebe.

NameChange30 · 22/03/2019 08:06

"Sweet" is not derogatory. Patronising, maybe, in some contexts, but not derogatory.

daisypond · 22/03/2019 08:04

malope but “sweet* is not something to want for a name, surely. It’s derogatory.

RayaJambalaya · 22/03/2019 08:02

Heidi

NameChange30 · 22/03/2019 07:54

I like Florence and it goes well with Phoebe
I think I'd pick Florence or Alice

ScreamingValenta · 22/03/2019 07:54

Daisy

Malope · 22/03/2019 07:52

Heidi is sweet. Do people really choose names based on what will 'go' with the sibling? Just let them have their own name! Grin

CantYouSleepLittleBear · 22/03/2019 07:50

Heidi is great with phoebe. Not so keen on daisy personally, and I don't think it's sophisticated enough to go with Phoebe.

I’d say neither too.

Heidi

OhTheRoses · 22/03/2019 07:30

Harriet goes.

thaegumathteth · 22/03/2019 07:28

Daisy because Heidi is too similar.

However, I always wanted 2 girls called Phoebe and Harriet

NameChange30 · 22/03/2019 07:22

Neither (sorry).
You need a name that doesn't end in the same "ee" sound.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/03/2019 07:16

Daisy

daisypond · 22/03/2019 07:15

Hm neither goes with Phoebe, which is a nice classic grown-up name. Heidi is terribly cutesy. Daisy is ok as a flower name but it’s a bit cutesy too. Daisy is best.

OhTheRoses · 22/03/2019 07:13

Do you know I thought of Ursula too but also thought it was a step too far if Daisy was in the frame.

Ridingthegravytrain · 22/03/2019 07:11

Crock I came on to say Ursula!
I prefer Heidi

Didiusfalco · 22/03/2019 07:11

Heidi.

Or a different name that doesn’t end with an ie sound.

OhTheRoses · 22/03/2019 07:11

Daisy is a different genre to Phoebe and Heidi but I'm not sure it goes.

Alexandra, Georgia/ina, Xara, Xanthe, Marina, Beatrice, Gudrun, Celia, Edith, etc, are the sorts of names that go with Phoebe.

Crockof · 22/03/2019 07:10

Phoebe sister is Ursula

Prefer Heidi

FogCutter · 22/03/2019 07:09

Heidi.

There's loads of little Daisys here, it's a very popular name!

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 22/03/2019 07:08

My vote for Heidi

They both go equally well with Phoebe but Daisy has been a bit overused in the past 15 years so Heidi is my choice
