Are these names too marmite?

Trying to pick a girls name and here's the shortlist... I know a few of these some people either love or hate. I don't want to pick something too of the moment but I don't want something boring either... which would you pick? I have a son with a very classic name... Happy for other suggestions too.

Celine is a great name. I am not so crazy about the rest.

If you like Eleanor (I love it) you could go for Lena or Nora for short rather than Ellie (which I also would have wanted to avoid! I had two boys though 😄)

You really have to think carefully about what teasing names kids will use - Aubrey will turn into Strawberry!

I would say that blossom, tulip and lavender are toooo flowery personally.

Cleo and celine are lovely and Astrid is quite cool.

I dont like agnes, jemima is ok just not to my taste really!

Lavender - noooo!! Lav for short!! Tulip - sounds affected, and sounds like Chew Lip, I hate names that sound like other things. Blossom - (Bloss sounds horrible) I have to say I only like Cleo and Jemima out of those.

I love Cleo. I like Celine.

Not keen on anything else on your list. Lavender is a nice word but the shortening 'Lav' would be really awful.

I really like Tulip! The Tulip in Preacher is awesome so that's probably influenced me

The only one I like is Jemima - it reminds me of the little girl in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The others I'm not keen on at all.

I've always loved Lavender since watching Matilda! Think it's a beautiful name! Will people shorten it to Lav though?

Any of these are fine and acceptable names.
Jemima -Lovely very English classic biblical nice meaning. It is quite posh probably explaining the marmite effect. Mimi, Mima, Emi, Jem the puddle duck thing I personally find quite cute. Does rabbits put people off Peter?
Astrid- Scandinavia I imagine a blond girl though?? Or I think of asteroids. Like it
Agnes- classic but I find it slightly ugly somehow. But perfectly acceptable and is it a girl from despicable me? So maybe in fashion? Aggy?
Cleo- car
Celine- perfectly nice but a bit bland.

Tulip, Blossom, Lavender = put in the middle name slot

@Bookworm4 oh, I thought they were all quite sensible names for an adult really. Except maybe blossom but I think that's been crossed off!

@Lovewinemorethanhusband oh dear!!

I like Cecily and Margot but probably not as much as the others.

Aubrey is a boys name originally so I can't get past that really, even though it has a nice sound.

Glad there's generally positive feedback! Maybe I'll reconsider lavender... we have a family name for a middle name unfortunately so can't really combine the names but @MercyBodle suggestions are lovely!

I wanted Jemima for this baby however my 4 year old can't pronounce it properly and it sounds like vagina when she says it so that was crossed off , love lavender but not thought about it as a name before,

Lavendar will get shortened to Lav or Lavvy, inevitably.
Like Jemima best off your list. Like Astrid too.

Does nobody think that while a name is cute on a 2yt old, will it suit a 30 yr old? People do unfortunately get judged on their name especially silly ones, whose parents obviously tried to be cute or quirky. Also kids are very cruel why set your child up with a daft name.
Choose a name that grows with your child.
