Toby and Rufus

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

DC1 would have had her middle name as her first name - Jasmine.
DC2 would have been Claudia.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 12/03/2019 14:10

@Aliceandkids77, my baby DD is called Iris. I love it too. My DH didn’t like it when I first suggested it but came round to it in the end!

skankingpiglet · 12/03/2019 13:42

DD1 would be the same as she is. I love her name.

DD2 would have been called Callista or Callisto. Instead her name is something I like rather than love, which is also how DH feels about it (I found this out after we'd named her). It was on my 4th shortlist (of 10-ish names on each) after all the others had been discarded because he just didn't like them for no specific reasons. He always tries to say it was my choice, but really it was a huge compromise with his fussiness. I wish I'd thrown a pregnancy tantrum and insisted on something from list one now instead of ending up with a name we both think is 'ok' Sad DD2 seems to like it though and I love her middle name, so it's not all bad.

aliceandkids77 · 12/03/2019 13:41

My dd's are Poppy and Betty and I love those names but my favourite is Iris. DH is 'meh' on it but he's warming up to it! Iris is just gorgeous

Whitelisbon · 12/03/2019 13:33

Rebecca.
Logan.
Nameless.
Willow.
Poppy.
Ds2 would probably still be nameless as I couldn't find a single boys name I liked.
Dh vetoed willow, and poppy. They all have perfectly lovely names, but I still have a hankering for a willow.

VioletWillow · 12/03/2019 13:29

If it was just me who decided... Gabriel, Aisling or Avery and Ophelia. They were all roundly refused! Bloody Philistines....

justforareply · 12/03/2019 13:29

Joni for one and trixie for second name in the other

ThatFalseEquivalenceTho · 12/03/2019 13:26

Ada, Gia, Arlo.

Gloopy · 12/03/2019 13:24

Gage and Archer.

Bamchic · 12/03/2019 13:24

Zara Grace and Ezra Jack,
Zara is too much like the shop
His works with a young lady called grace who constantly walks round the office “vlogging”

Ezra isn’t a real name apparently
And his SS (started dating xw when she was pg and they were together 15 y so I say stepson iyswim) is called jack.
So I can’t use any!!

ImportantWater · 12/03/2019 13:20

Edward (Teddy) and Samuel (Sam). No idea why DH didn’t like those. The names they have are similarly traditional, so it’s not that.

BlueChampagne · 12/03/2019 13:19

I got talked out out of Lewis because of Lewis Hamilton.

bluebellation · 12/03/2019 13:19

Flora and Rupert.

Barbarafromblackpool · 12/03/2019 13:19

I chose! One of whom is Rufus. Smile

PippilottaLongstocking · 12/03/2019 13:17

Got my choice for DS2 but ex wouldn’t agree to any names I suggested for DS1 and wouldn’t suggest any himself! So he ended up with a ‘top 10’ name, which does suit him but if I had my way he would have been Indigo which would suit him too

Spiderbanana · 12/03/2019 13:17

I love the names we chose but I wanted to name them after our fathers who are no longer here and a good friend of mine who died.

DH won't name children after dead people it turns out.

Can't give the names as they would be very outing but they are very bog standard names.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 12/03/2019 13:16

Luke, Erin and Tess.

If there was no input from me, they would have been called Jared, Denise and Matilda!

HalfBloodPrincess · 12/03/2019 13:15

The names they have. I picked first names and dp chose middle names.

PopWentTheWeasel · 12/03/2019 13:13

Megumi. DH hated it and wanted a European name. We have no conection with Japan at all, I just heard it as part of a song title on the radio when pregnant and loved it; it would have sounded lovely with our surname and as my dad hated the name we chose anyway, I may as well have been hanged to a really weird name as for the lovely one we agreed on.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 12/03/2019 13:11

DS would have been James Arthur or Arthur James.
DD got the name I chose.

steppemum · 12/03/2019 13:08

Daisy May and Poppy.

Dh doesn't like flower names.
Since then Daisy and Poppy were used by jamie Oliver and became totally different names in my mind, so glad I didn't use them.

I also loved the name my drother used, so couldn't use that.

boys name - both had the same favourite!

clumsy19 · 12/03/2019 13:04

DD1 would have been Violet. I got my first choice for DD2!

Margotshypotheticaldog · 12/03/2019 13:02

Mary rose and Theo

icannotremember · 12/03/2019 12:57

Keir, Thomas and Roman.

DH is Polish, says Keir is not a name, has a relative called Tomasz who he hates, and has a surname far too like Polanski to make Roman viable.

BlueMerchant · 12/03/2019 12:52

Lolita
Sonny
