Thoughts on the name Aura?

Aurora is a very pretty name with a similar sound. Laura is lovely too and not that common these days.

Awful sorry

Bloomini · 09/03/2019 09:10

A lifetime of misspelled and mispronunciations await the poor child...

MollyHuaCha · 09/03/2019 09:09

Not keen

3out · 09/03/2019 09:09

Negative connotations for me, sorry.

Jamhandprints · 09/03/2019 09:08

This name is common in South America but it's actually pronounced "Ow-ra" I quite like it pronounced like that but not "Or-ra" because that's a migraine symptom.

BarkandCheese · 09/03/2019 09:05

It’s the name given to the sensation many suffers get right before migraines and epileptic fits, not a pleasant association for a child’s name.

maamalady · 09/03/2019 09:03

It will get misheard as Laura every time.

EssentialHummus · 09/03/2019 09:02

Maybe Aurora? I agree with a PP.

ElizabethMainwaring · 09/03/2019 08:59

No. It brings to mind migraines and Rita. It looks pretty in writing but doesn't sound nice at all. Very ugly in fact.
