Classic 2/3-syllable girls names...

...that more or less work in French too. Not much to ask, I know!

Can't have Anna, Sophie, Elisabeth, Marianne or Beatrice (outs self), but these will give you an idea of the kinds of names we like.

The French connection means that the endings will probably have an 'e' rather than an 'a' (e.g: Marguerite rather than Margarita). I'm open to more unusual names, but DH is fairly conservative... Please help!

Forgot I can't use Charlotte either.

I like Valerie, Genevieve (pronounced the French way), Magdalene, Amélie...

Gosh, you guys are fast!

Vivienne is on my list. Can't have Emily (or Evelyn or Eleanor or Phoebe or Lucy or Ava or Maya - LOTS of nieces!).

Full disclosure - I'd prefer 3 syllables to 2, as my younger girls all have 3 syllable-names, so I think it would 'go' better, IYSWIM.
