Chelsey or Chelsie?

Good evening!
So now DH and me are lingering between these two spellings, which we both love. We like Chelsey because it's kind of more mature and not that girly and cutesy. But the problem is, we feel like there's too many E's in this spelling, which sometimes really annoy us. And that leads us to our second choice: Chelsie. We love that how it ends in -ie, which will fit her as a little girl and a teenager for quite some time, and is still not that cutesy and childish when it comes to an adult.
So, that's basically our thought. What do you guys think? Which one should we go with? And why?
Thanks

All 3 spellings have the same amount of E's in them.. that makes no sense.

Awful name regardless of spelling.

TurquoiseDress · 13/10/2020 14:51

This is a zombie thread, sorry! Blush

TurquoiseDress · 13/10/2020 14:50

She has spelt it CHELSIE...damn autocorrect!

TurquoiseDress · 13/10/2020 14:49

My neighbour's new baby daughter has been called Chelsea!

Never seen it spelt like this before, always presumed it was Chelsea.

And no, they are not fans of the football team! Think they are Arsenal supporters actually...

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 18/03/2019 23:51

I like Chelsey. I had a cat named this and spelled it this way as a child. I would probably do the traditional Chelsea if it were me but I know you aren't asking about that.

Chelsie seems like you're trying too hard so I guess I prefer Chelsey.

LassOfFyvie · 09/03/2019 00:22

Have you considered dumping London names in favour of something Scottish? Longformacus or Tyndrum could work...

Great thread.

MarthasGinYard · 08/03/2019 23:58

Even more younique n Classey

MazDazzle · 08/03/2019 23:52

TrixieFranklin · 08/03/2019 22:36

As an alternative how about Eeeeedith?

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 08/03/2019 22:33

I know someone with it spelt chelsey, she gets proper pissed if someone spells it the other way because she supports arsenal and doesn’t like the original way of spelling it 😂😂

moreursulathanariel · 08/03/2019 22:33

Awful spellings, awful name.

MondeoFan · 08/03/2019 22:24

Chelsea

But if you insist Chelsie I think that's how Barbies sister or daughter is spelt.

If it was me I would choose Chelsea otherwise your DD will spend a lifetime correcting people on the spelling

Sweetooth92 · 08/03/2019 22:17

Chelsea. Because this is the only logical option that doesn’t make her parents look like delinquent dicks

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 08/03/2019 22:14

Everyone will think you don't know how to spell your own child's name. Chelsea ffs.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 08/03/2019 22:06

It’s probably a troll anyway.

I don’t care if it is or isn’t.
It’s a public forum 🤦‍♀️😂

Do you think people think that deeply about anyone’s opinion on here? Lol
