Looking for modern Muslim baby boy names

I'm really struggling to think of Muslim baby boy names.

I like unique and trendy names whilst my husband wants to stick to traditional Muslim names, not easy!

I have found a few modern Arabic names like Cairo which I believe would be acceptable what do you think and let me know if you have any suggestions?

Is the surname his name or yours? We didn’t want to go ‘full foreign’ either. Why discount my side of the family completely (especially when we live here)?

To go through life “when did you move here” “your English is very good” “where are you from - I mean originally from” isn’t much fun (and can get you into a row with the vicar when you give a glib response).

Oh dear, you have bigger problems than a child's name.

I'm not going to tell you what my son is called (Muslim dad, very chill family with Christians in the family too, been divorced for years, not a problem)...

It's causing a massive issue

I see problems ahead. If you can, leave him off the birth certificate. Will give you all the rights. (You're looking at 18 years into the future).

People will come on and give me shit for this - but they can tell me after they've been through it.

You only have to check out the Reunite website.

But, just want to say, don't bury your own SELF for love. Your child is nr. 1 here.

@Dontrocktheboat haha so true, and this is why my husband has dismissed it! I like it though, I feel it's quite modern and up and coming.

I've always loved the name Kai so this was a get around of me being able to call the baby Cairo and Cai for short, but still being an Arabic name!

In fact... most of the family out there have pre-Islamic names anyway. Nice and classical, and the ones who live abroad have names that work in both places.

You don’t need to - if you aren’t from an Arab background, you don’t move in the ME and aren’t Muslim I don’t really see why he can insist.

Or kid has a perfectly great name and his ME/Muslim relatives adore it. In fact they were a bit puzzled when we were pondering a middle name from that neck of the woods as his surname his dads anyway.

Well my husband would like it to be a Muslim name even though I know in Islam most names are accepted as long as they have a good meaning. I have found Arabic names to be the most modern sounding that I can find. I am English so I need something easy for my family to pronounce as well, but I really dislike common names like Adam etc.
