Looking for modern Muslim baby boy names

I'm really struggling to think of Muslim baby boy names.

I like unique and trendy names whilst my husband wants to stick to traditional Muslim names, not easy!

I have found a few modern Arabic names like Cairo which I believe would be acceptable what do you think and let me know if you have any suggestions?

I know a Raees which I think it lovely. Pronounced similar to ray-ss without an Arabic pronunciation i.e. classmates but with proper pronunciation it's a very soft ray-ees.

If baby will have a middle name and a surname chosen by the father, surely given you're the mother and the one actually carrying the baby, you should get the final decision on the first name? That's just doing the maths!

I despair when it all has to be the father's way right from the word go.

I bet you're allowed to be in charge of nappy changes though

I have a Zain and Samir. We're not Muslim but my DH is Arabic and he really wanted any sons to have Arabic names.

My friend has an Elijah and an Eshan which suited everyone (similar situation to yours)

I like the Arabic name Maher, it means deft/skillful.

And it's a congnate for the Irish name Maher, which means kind.

We have a trad British first name with a looooong foreign surname. Best of both worlds.

I knew a little boy named Yunus and he was the sweetest and most polite little boy. His brothers are Zacharias and Noah.

@LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD surname will be husbands and so will the middle names after a relative which I have no issue with and is a family tradition. I personally wouldn't choose a middle name so this is fine. The problem is the middle name and surname are quite Asian sounding so whilst I don't want something difficult to pronounce or too traditional, it can't be anything completely English sounding!

I guess I will get there in the end 🤣

Zacharia / Zayn / Zaki are all great sounding names that I think worth nicely in both cultures

Elias is nice too

look at biblical names - most have Arabic equivalent - ie Joseph Michael Adam etc they aren't pronounced the same but near enough - otherwise have one Arabic name & one European - than the dc can choose as he grows up - mind most boys seem to have nick names at school as they grow up (how they get them is beyond me!)
